Country star Tori Kelly was hospitalized Sunday night and reportedly remains in “serious” condition after she collapsed while out to dinner with friends in Los Angeles.
Sources told TMZ that the 30-year-old country singer said her heart was beating unusually fast before she collapsed and was “out for awhile.” She was then rushed to Cedars-Sinai hospital by her own car rather than an ambulance.
The “American Idol” star was reportedly “in and out of consciousness” in the hospital, and she’s reportedly being treated for blood clots that were discovered around several of her vital organs, the outlet noted.

The singer remains in the ICU in “really serious” condition, one source said. Doctors are reportedly still working to determine if any blood clots are near or around her heart.
Following reports about her status in the ICU, her husband, André Murillo, took to social media and posted a video of his wife’s verse on her Justin Bieber collaboration, “Where Do I Fit In,” People magazine noted. The song reportedly deals with turning to God in times of loneliness and fear.
“When I’m all alone and fear is all I see / Sittin’ in the silence with these insecurities / And then you remind me, you’re holdin’ me tight / And you love me completely, you’re always by my side,” Kelly sings in the clip.
The “Paper Hearts” hitmaker first gained fame at the age of 14 after posting videos on YouTube, the New York Post noted.
In 2010, she auditioned for season 9 of “American Idol,” and while she didn’t make it all the way until the end, it did give a boost to her singing career and she went on to release her first EP, “Handmade Songs,” in 2012, the outlet noted.

In 2013, she was signed by Capitol Records and in October that year she released her EP “Foreword.” In 2015, her debut album, “Unbreakable Smile” came out and debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart, Good Morning America noted.
In 2019, Kelly was nominated and won Grammy Awards for Best Gospel Album for “Hiding Place” and Best Gospel Performance/Song for “Never Alone.”
The country singer will reportedly release her new EP titled simply “Tori” later this week on July 28 where she’s scheduled to perform at The Roxy in Los Angeles. It is unclear if she will still make that performance.
