A Russian tank in the Obolon district of Kyiv crushed a car with a driver still inside, according to footage from the capital city.
The disturbing video shows a Russian military vehicle coming upon a car seeking to escape the area. The car is then crushed, with the driver still inside.

A later report appeared to show a picture of the man inside the car after the attack, noting he miraculously survived.

The trapped man was rescued by local Ukrainians and was also captured on video shared on Twitter.

Another recording of the horrific accident was posted by a user from a nearby high rise with the frightened voice of a witness in the background.

In yet another video on social media, Russian helicopters are shown attacking a Ukrainian airport.
“Confirmed by Ukrainian authorities. A large air assault operation with Mi-8 helicopters on Antonov International Airport in Hostomel. Interior Ministry says Russia has seized control. Very dangerous; it’s just 15 minutes west of the capital ring road,” Christopher Miller wrote.

The videos are part of a growing number of recordings coming out of Ukraine showing both the graphic nature of the Russian invasion and the resolve of the Ukrainian people to oppose it.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced on Friday that 13 Ukrainian soldiers who died on Thursday defending an island against a Russian Naval vessel would be awarded the title of “Hero of Ukraine.”
“According to a purported audio exchange, as the Russians approached Snake Island, also known as Zmiinyi Island, the Russian officer says: ‘This is a military warship. This is a Russian military warship. I suggest you lay down your weapons and surrender to avoid bloodshed and needless casualties. Otherwise, you will be bombed,’” CNN reported.
“A Ukrainian soldier responds: ‘Russian warship, go f*** yourself,’” the report added.

During the early morning hours on Thursday, Zelensky said that he would arm anyone who wanted to fight back against the Russians. The Daily Wire reported:
“We will give weapons to anyone who wants to defend the country. Be ready to support Ukraine in the squares of our cities,” Zelensky said in a statement. “We will lift sanctions on all citizens of Ukraine who are ready to defend our country as part of territorial defense with weapons in hands.”
Russia pressed deep into Ukraine late on Thursday and into Friday morning as the fighting reached near the outskirts of the country’s capital city of Kyiv. Kyiv was the target of numerous missile attacks throughout the night — which saw a fighter explode in the sky after getting hit.
