“Scrubs” star Eliza Coupe hit back at critics who expressed concern about her health following her recent red carpet appearance.
“Pictures from my camera roll from the past three weeks,” the 43-year-old actress captioned her post on <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/DHfY8mruWzh/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Instagram</a>, showing an array of pictures of herself. She included hashtags like “thisishwhatireallylooklike,” &#8220;truth,” and “haterscanhate,” among others.
The comments came after she hit the premiere of Netflix’s “The Residence” at the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood, California, on March 19.
In pictures that surfaced from the event, Coupe wore a gold shimmering minidress with black thigh-high boots and black fur jacket.
Social media users wrote that the actress looked “unrecognizable” and worried about her health, <a href="https://pagesix.com/2025/03/26/celebrity-news/scrubs-star-eliza-coupe-fires-back-after-look-sparks-concern/">Page Six</a> noted.

“I see this in Los Angeles all the time,” one person wrote. “This looks like more than just normal aging and screams drug abuse and malnutrition to me. I don’t know her personally so I can’t say for sure but I really hope she has family and friends who can check in on her because this is deeply concerning.”
Another added, “Oh my goodness… Eliza Coupe looks so terrible these days, she was at some awards thing this week… I hope she heals from whatever is going on with her… see the second photo in 2021 to how she looked before, such a stunner, I hope she gets herself back to health.”
While a third noted, “The photos of Eliza Coupe at ‘The Residence’ premier make me so sad, love ‘Happy Endings,’ one of the best sitcoms. I was so excited to see her in this. Really hope she’s ok.”
And a fourth person wrote, “I don’t like to comment on people’s bodies but that photo of Eliza Coupe is really upsetting. I hope she’s okay.”
The “Benched” star recently opened up about her struggles with body image in the past when she appeared on the <a href="https://youtu.be/xpNYjqA7i7Q?si=3g64tUZKf2OxhXq3">“Funny Thing Is”</a> podcast in February.
“I was so broken; I couldn’t get fixed enough for the relationship because I had damaged it with my own s***,” Coupe said. “Some may call it an eating disorder, I just call it that’s been my life.”
“So my drug of choice was always food … I did crazy s*** with it,” she added. “And then being on amphetamines, you’re not eating anyway. I would over-exercise, and there was a sprinkle of bulimia in there.”
