Earlier this week, we reported that a kindergarten teacher at Rocklin Academy Schools — a Sacramento-area charter school — held a “transition ceremony” to celebrate what she believed was the “transgenderism” of a five-year-old boy in her class who fancies himself a girl; she did it without obtaining consent from, or even notifying, parents.
According to LifeSiteNews, the very same charter school recently sent one of their students — a first grader, for crying out loud — to the principal’s office for “misgendering” the transgender boy.
“The first grade student at Rocklin Academy Gateway inadvertently called the trans “girl” by his boy’s name on the playground earlier this week,” reports LifeSiteNews.
Karen England, executive director of the Capitol Resource Institute, a family advocacy group, says the first grader meant no harm and knew “the student’s name from last year, and innocently on the playground called him by his name, and was told she needed to refer to him as a ‘she’ and needed to refer to him by his new name, which the student said OK,” England said.
She continued, “But then later the student was later called into the principal’s office so that the incident could be investigated to see if it was intentional or not, as if six-year-old kids are even thinking about this.”
When the parents met with the principal, the school demanded their child refer to the boy by his newly-decided girl’s name.
“The parent is very concerned for their child. This was an innocent mistake,” said England.
A parent whose child was allegedly in the class the day of the ceremony reached out to us here at Daily Wire, warning that the school has spread lies and disinformation ever since the transition “ceremony” became public. The school’s statement has been shared with us, which claims the following:
- There was not a “ceremony” or “celebration” of any student’s transition as some have claimed.The teacher simply read a children’s book brought in by a kindergarten student to share with the class.
- The gender transition of the student had occurred before the day the book was read. Whether or not this book was read, the topic itself would have come up.
- The school has neither encouraged nor discouraged the transition of any student. When a student does transition, we will comply with all state and federal laws.
The parent whose child witnessed the events referred to the school as “liars,” saying that the children did witness what indeed “sounded like a ceremony” complete with the boy changing into a dress and going by a girl’s name.
