<p>The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame announced its official Class of 2022 inductees, and it includes artists like Eminem, Duran Duran, and more.</p>
<p>On Wednesday, the legendary Rock Hall revealed this year&#8217;s incoming members in a video posted on <a href="https://twitter.com/rockhall/status/1521824460894048258?s=20&amp;t=OwgT6z9uwUuEWFK0JNx-mw">Twitter</a>. And yes, Dolly <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/dolly-partons-dollywood-to-pay-100-tuition-fees-and-books-for-any-employee-pursuing-higher-education">Parton</a> made the cut, despite the country music legend making a public plea to have her name taken off the ballot for fear that she didn&#8217;t meet the qualifications of a rock star. The singer said she was &#8220;flattered and grateful to be nominated&#8221; but did not feel she &#8220;earned that right,&#8221; as previously <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/country-legend-dolly-parton-respectfully-bows-out-of-rock-roll-hall-of-fame-consideration">reported</a> by The Daily Wire.</p>
<p>Parton&#8217;s fellow inductees include rocker Pat Benetar, Carly Simon, Eminem, Duran Duran, Lionel Richie, and the Eurythmics.</p>

<p>The video announcement also shared that songwriters Jimmy Jam &amp; Terry Lewis and heavy metal group Judas Priest would join the Rock Hall with the &#8220;award for musical excellence.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;Wow, this is so exciting — at last. At last, you know?&#8221; Judas Priest&#8217;s Rob Halford told <a href="https://www.billboard.com/music/awards/rock-roll-hall-of-fame-class-2022-dolly-parton-eminem-1235066490/">Billboard</a> after receiving the news. &#8220;And, glory hallelujah, there’s another metal band in the hall of fame! That&#8217;s the blessing we&#8217;ve all been waiting for.&#8221;</p>
<p>Richie called being selected &#8220;an incredible honor.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;I would like to say THANK YOU to all of the voters, to all of my wonderful fans and to everyone at the Rock &amp; Roll Hall of Fame,&#8221; the R&amp;B hitmaker said in a statement provided to the outlet. &#8220;Congratulations to all of my fellow 2022 inductees!&#8221;</p>
<p>Parton has yet to comment on being elected, but just days before the big announcement, she did come out and <a href="https://www.npr.org/2022/04/29/1095444447/dolly-parton-james-patterson-novel">said she&#8217;d</a> &#8220;gracefully&#8221; accept it after previously turning down the nomination.</p>
<p>&#8220;I would just say thanks and I&#8217;ll accept it because the fans vote,&#8221; the &#8220;9 to 5&#8221; star shared. &#8220;But when I said that, it was always my belief that the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame was for the people in rock music, and I have found out lately that it&#8217;s not necessarily that.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;But if they can&#8217;t go there to be recognized, where do they go?&#8221; she added. &#8220;So I just felt like I would be taking away from someone that maybe deserved it, certainly more than me, because I never considered myself a rock artist. But obviously, there&#8217;s more to it than that.&#8221;</p>
<p>The ceremony is scheduled to take place in Los Angeles, California, on November 5.</p>
