The Biden campaign, concerned about the nasty online attacks on their candidate by supporters of Senator Bernie Sanders, is urging their own supporters to get online and defend Biden from the attacks.
Bloomberg reports that the Biden campaign told supporters that Sanders people were “getting ugly” and it had to “step up its game.” Bloomberg notes, “The message was confirmed by campaign national press secretary TJ Ducklo.”
Bloomberg notes, “Sanders’ supporters are markedly more aggressive than those of any other campaign, going to Twitter and Facebook to enthusiastically defend the Vermont senator and sometimes attack the supporters of other candidates.”
As The Daily Wire noted on Tuesday, the nastiness between the Biden and Sanders camps has grown recently; Zephyr Teachout, an associate professor at Fordham University who supports Sanders, penned an op-ed in The Guardian in which she stated, “Biden has a big corruption problem and it makes him a weak candidate … It looks like ‘Middle Class’ Joe has perfected the art of taking big contributions, then representing his corporate donors at the cost of middle- and working-class Americans … Whether or not Biden is making choices to please donors, there is no doubt his record represents the transactional, grossly corrupt culture in Washington that long precedes Trump.”
The New York Times reported that Sanders’ campaign circulated the article. The Biden campaign used the article to raise funds, writing, “Bernie Sanders’ campaign has unleashed a barrage of negative attacks, lying about and distorting Joe’s record.”
The Democratic Majority for Israel is spending $700,000 worth of attack ads against Sanders, who is a consistent and virulent critic of the Jewish state. On Tuesday, Sanders’ campaign sent a fund-raising email to supporters to fund a counter-attack against the Democratic Majority for Israel.
Evidence of Sanders’ hostility toward the Jewish state abounds; in October, speaking at the national conference of the notoriously anti-Israel J Street organization, and interviewed by former Obama officials Ben Rhodes and Tommy Vietor, both of whom supported the Iran nuclear deal that represented an existential threat to Israel, Sanders curried favor by suggesting that Israel did not respect human rights, snapping, “I would use the leverage of $3.8 billion. It is a lot of money, and we cannot give it carte blanche to the Israeli government, or for that matter to any government at all. We have a right to demand respect for human rights and democracy.”
Sanders threatened, “My solution is, to Israel, if you want military aid you’re going to have to fundamentally change your relationship to the people of Gaza. I would say that some of the $3.8 billion should go right now to humanitarian aid in Gaza.”

The senator not only inflated the numbers by several orders of magnitude, he even outdid the Hamas spokespersons in creating a false narrative that the IDF was intentionally attacking the civilian population.
