READ: The Criminal Complaint Against Clavicular
The Daily Wire has obtained charging documents accusing 20-year-old internet personality Braden Peters, known to millions of online followers as “Clavicular,” of drugging and raping a minor inside his family’s Massachusetts home.
The charges, filed in a Cape Cod courthouse on September 8, stem from an alleged incident last year that could land the provocative streamer who popularized the viral phrase “looksmaxxing” behind bars for years to come.
On June 4, 2026, Chatham Police Department Officer Jordyn Gagliardi documented a rape allegation involving an unnamed 17-year-old girl represented by attorney Jonathan Schwartz. In her interview with law enforcement, she said she had exchanged messages with Peters on Instagram before he offered to pay her to appear on one of his streams, which critics say have tapped into the insecurities of young men and teenage boys to build a larger-than-life digital audience.
Peters allegedly framed her appearance on his streams as an opportunity to boost her social media presence and arranged an Uber for the minor to his family’s home in Chatham, a scenic seaside resort town at the southeastern tip of Cape Cod.
She arrived at the residence around 5 p.m. on May 23, 2025, and greeted Peters’ mother and grandmother. The then 19-year-old then allegedly led the girl upstairs to his bedroom, where he was livestreaming on Twitch. According to her account, Peters was aware of her age but instructed her to lie about it on camera. Shortly afterward, the two began drinking alcohol, which she identified as vodka.
“She stated that she no longer felt the awkward feelings when alcohol was ‘invited’ because she calmed down and was relaxed,” the police report reads. “She stated that although they began consuming the alcohol, she felt that she was peer-pressured to consume it.”
During the stream, the two began kissing. When asked how much she drank, the girl responded, “two, three shots, but it was like not really shots, it was more so like cups.” She described herself as a “lightweight” who quickly felt intoxicated. Eventually, the stream ended, and according to her testimony, the encounter quickly turned physical.
The two continued kissing on the couch before moving to Peters’ bed, where she said the streamer was “throwing me in different positions.” She said she eventually fell asleep and awoke the next morning to Peters “having sex with me.” She told police she did not tell him to stop because by the time she became aware of what was happening, the alleged assault was already underway. She maintained that she never consented to sex.
“I was just like was getting f*cked when I woke up,” the minor told law enforcement, describing the ordeal as “so uncomfortable.” Afterward, she said Peters ordered her an Uber home. The two did not see each other for another six months, and she never told anyone “the full extent of what occurred,” according to police records.
Law enforcement reviewed clips from Peters’ streams that night and saw the 20-year-old looksmaxxer shirtless at times and expressing how intoxicated he was. Clavicular faces three counts — rape, drugging a victim for sex, and supplying alcohol to a minor, per the criminal complaint. The Bulwark was first to report the story.
The influencer has not been arrested but was ordered to attend an October 14 arraignment. If convicted of rape, Peters faces up to 20 years in state prison and a mandatory spot on the sex offender registry.
A representative for Peters told NBC News that he “has not been physically served” and that The Bulwark was “exaggerating.” Peters “denies the claims and disputes the characterization of events,” according to a statement from his attorney.
Peters commented on a post on X about the charges, writing, “What is this sh*t? Community notes?” A community note was then added to Clavicular’s post, stating, “A community note is not needed in the quoted tweet as Clavicular has indeed been charged.”
