Actor Ryan Reynolds gushed about his wife Blake Lively and their three daughters during his acceptance speech at the 2022 People’s Choice Awards.
The 46-year-old actor took home “The People’s Icon” award at the annual show Tuesday and said that while he jokes about how his immediate family “exhausts” him, they really are his “heart.”
“To my mom, three brothers, and one of which is sitting over there, and to my dad who left us a few years ago,” Reynolds said. “And boy if he could see all the things that have been going on, he wouldn’t be impressed with all this stuff, but he’d be most blown away by his three little granddaughters.”
“Wherever he is right now, I promise you, he’s probably not watching ‘The People’s Choice Awards,'” he added. “But to my original family, thank you for making me who I am. Thank you for your unfailing support of me despite some pretty, pretty damn questionable years there.”

“Thank you, Blake and my three daughters,” Reynolds continued. “It’s going to be a fourth child very soon … But Blake and my girls, you are quite literally – you’re my heart, you’re my hope, you’re my happiness. I joke that my family exhausts me, but in reality you give me more strength than any man could possibly deserve.”
The “Free Guy” star and Lively tied the knot in 2012 and since that time have welcomed three little girls together. The couple recently celebrated their 10-year wedding anniversary in September.
In a recent article, the “Deadpool” star talked about how he feels about becoming a father for the fourth time and if he thought this time around would be easier since he’s more experienced.
“Yes and no,” Reynolds shared. “I mean, the things we know are going to help us get through things a little bit quicker. But I don’t know. Anything can happen.”
“I don’t even know if it’s a boy or a girl yet,” he added. “So, we’ll see.”
