<p>Joe Rogan pointed out all the ways &#8220;woke Twitter&#8221; is the latest &#8220;non-spiritual religious cult&#8221; as he spoke to his guest, tech entrepreneur Marc Andreesen, who said it&#8217;s human nature to want to be part of the group.</p>
<p>In a clip <a href="https://twitter.com/TPostMillennial/status/1545420248123334656?s=20&amp;t=_7gRsVJ5HZWmEUyi_Gu3xA">Rogan recently retweeted</a> from his Spotify &#8220;The Joe Rogan Experience&#8221; podcast, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/joe-rogan-lights-up-lori-lightfoots-call-to-arms-what-the-f-are-you-saying-youre-in-the-most-violent-city-in-this-country">the host</a> and Andreessen compared the social media platform to &#8220;evangelical Protestantism,&#8221; with Rogan&#8217;s guest noting how humans &#8220;want to be members of groups&#8221; and &#8220;cults.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;Because humans, we want to be members of groups,&#8221; Andreessen explained. &#8220;We want to reform into new cults. We want to reform into religions. We want to develop new ethical and moral systems and hold each other to them.&#8221;</p>

<p>&#8220;A hallmark of any religion is some crazy, some belief that strikes outsiders as completely crazy,&#8221; he added. &#8220;What&#8217;s the role of that crazy belief? The role is that by professing your belief in the crazy thing, you basically certify that you&#8217;re a member of the group &#8230;&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;That&#8217;s woke Twitter!&#8221; Rogan stated.</p>
<p>&#8220;So, woke Twitter has basically recreated, they are a non-spiritual religious cult,&#8221; Andreessen replied, to which Rogan agreed.</p>
<p>&#8220;They exhibit all the same religious behaviors,&#8221; he added. &#8220;They have ex-communication. They have sin. They have redemption or lack thereof. They have original sin, privilege.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;Proclamations of piety,&#8221; <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/joe-rogan-lights-up-lori-lightfoots-call-to-arms-what-the-f-are-you-saying-youre-in-the-most-violent-city-in-this-country">Rogan</a> added, which is the idea that one shows their virtue by sharing how &#8220;woke&#8221; they are, in this case.</p>
<p>Andreessen noted how &#8220;they have church&#8221; which are DEI seminars, which stands for &#8220;Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.&#8221; He also claimed &#8220;the woke&#8221; on social media have essentially &#8220;recreated evangelical Protestantism&#8221; in some form.</p>
<p>The podcast host, who calls himself a liberal, previously slammed those on the Left who want to suppress thoughts and ideas, as <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/fing-had-my-back-joe-rogan-praises-the-right-and-fox-news-who-supported-him-after-attacks-from-the-far-left">The Daily Wire</a> previously reported.</p>
<p>&#8220;Who would’ve thought that, if you look back on the early days, what we used to think of as conservative versus liberal, liberal was pro-free speech,&#8221; Rogan shared. &#8220;People were open-minded, non-violent. And people were open to other people&#8217;s ideas.&#8221;</p>
<p>The host said that previously the &#8220;Right was like a suppressive, nanny state, condemned certain language, condemned certain behaviors. That&#8217;s not the case today. Today, the Left has gone so f***ing far Left, so radical, that the Right are the ones that are celebrating comedians, and celebrating [Dave] Chappelle.&#8221;</p>
