Pro-Trump influencer Lynette “Diamond” Hardaway’s cause of death has been revealed as a result of heart disease.
Hardaway, of the social media sister duo Diamond and Silk, died on January 8. She was 51.
Despite speculation on the internet that “Diamond” died from COVID, a death certificate obtained by The Associated Press on Monday confirmed she died of heart disease brought on by chronic high blood pressure.
Her sister, Rochelle Richardson, a.k.a. Silk, recently shared that she and her husband were with Diamond when the influencer said, “I can’t breath” before collapsing to the floor, People magazine noted.

Former President Donald Trump announced Hardaway’s death on social media.
“Really bad news for Republicans and frankly, ALL Americans,” Trump shared in his post. “Our beautiful Diamond, of Diamond and Silk, has just passed away at her home in the State she loved so much, North Carolina.”
“Silk was with her all the way, and at her passing,” his message added. “There was no better TEAM anywhere, or at any time! Diamond’s death was totally unexpected, probably her big and precious HEART just plain gave out. Rest In Peace our Magnificent Diamond, you will be greatly missed!”
The official Twitter account for the social media duo later confirmed Diamond’s death.
“The World just lost a True Angel and Warrior Patriot for Freedom, Love, and Humanity!” the tweet read.
The post linked to a fundraiser where people could donate to help cover funeral expenses.
“Diamond blazed a trail, founded on her passion and love for the entire race of humanity,” a message on the fundraiser page read.
“The memory of her passing should forever remain in our hearts,” it added. “In this time of grief, please respect the privacy of Diamond’s family but remember and celebrate the gift that she gave us all!”
