New White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre went viral after a photo surfaced of her wearing what looked like a nearly-identical dress designed by first daughter Ivanka Trump — and Donald Trump Jr. noticed.
It started after White House press assistant Megha Bhattacharya posted a picture on Twitter congratulating Jean-Pierre on the new gig. In the photo, Jean-Pierre is seen wearing a pale pink-colored sleeveless dress that went down just past her knees. It had a high-collar with a small leg slit, and it looked very similar to a dress designed by Ivanka, reported IJR.com in a piece published Wednesday.

Former President Donald Trump’s son, Don Trump Jr., saw the post that went viral and ended up tagging his sister.
He tweeted, “Flagging for you @IvankaTrump.” His post included a retweet from Michele Perez Exner who wrote that “Love the Press Secretary’s dress. I too own this Ivanka Trump dress and I’m even wearing it in my profile pic.”
Her post included a picture of a dress that looked almost the same as the one Jean-Pierre was wearing that was listed on sale online from designer Ivanka Trump.

As the outlet noted, unless the new White House press secretary confirms or denies she’s wearing the Trump designed look, there is truly no way to know. But it is hard to deny how similar the looks are. However, it is possible some designer was inspired by Ivanka’s dress and made one with the same cut and fit.
Ivanka previously announced she was leaving as head of her clothing line shortly after Trump was sworn-in as president in 2017. At the time, she shared on Facebook she was stepping down “from The Trump Organization and my eponymous apparel and accessories brand. I will no longer be involved with the management or operations of either company.”
“I have appointed Abigail Klem as president to lead my brand,” the message added. “She will work with a board of trustees to manage the strategic and day-to-day operations of the business; I am confident that under her leadership the company will continue creating smart, solution-oriented product and content. My brothers will oversee The Trump Organization, and I know that in their capable hands the business will thrive.”
In 2018, the first daughter shut down her clothing line, reported The Wall Street Journal.
