Now that’s irony with a capital I.
Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards, interviewed by associate editor Stephanie Eckardt of W magazine, stated regarding Ivanka Trump’s refusal to support Planned Parenthood, “For God’s sake, you can’t be trading away women’s rights.”
Think about that for just a second. “For Who’s Sake?”
You heard that right: for God’s, according to the leader of the leading organization for murdering the innocents God creates before they can draw their first breath.
That revelation came on Monday as W magazine published a piece on the “problem of Ivanka Trump.” Richards was speaking about an off-the-record meeting with Ivanka first mentioned in her new memoir, Make Trouble. Richards stated in the book that at the meeting, Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner were “bartering” and “almost” bribing her to eliminate Planned Parenthood’s abortion “services.”
Richards continued, “For me, the complexity about Ivanka is that she has two roles. One is as the president’s daughter, and I know she feels quite committed to defending her father in every way. But she also decided to take a job as one of the highest-ranking women in the White House, and my understanding is that her job is to represent women—and this administration has been terrible for women.”
Then she launched her attack: “[I]f you’re supposedly in charge of advancing women’s situations in this country, then show up. And for God’s sake, you can’t be trading away women’s rights.”
