<p>A Republican senator is calling for annual senility tests for aging politicians, such as President Joe Biden, Democrat House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY).</p>
<p>GOP Sen. Bill Cassidy (R-LA), a physician, said during a recent appearance of &#8220;Axios on HBO&#8221; that he wants cognition tests for aging leaders in all three branches of government, Axios <a href="https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/usually-noticeable-gop-senator-calls-100453945.html">reported</a>.</p>
<p>Cassidy, a gastroenterologist, said that people generally begin a &#8220;rapid decline&#8221; when they hit 80 years old.</p>
<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s usually noticeable,&#8221; the senator said. &#8220;So anybody in a position of responsibility who may potentially be on that slope, that is of concern. And I&#8217;m saying this as a doctor.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;I&#8217;m told that there have been senators in the past who, at the end of their Senate terms were senile,&#8221; Cassidy added. &#8220;I&#8217;m told that was true of senators of both parties.&#8221;</p>
<p>Axios <a href="https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/usually-noticeable-gop-senator-calls-100453945.html">noted</a> that science shows that &#8220;we lose something&#8221; as we age, emphasizing that our current leading politicians are nearing their 80s, if they haven&#8217;t already hit the milestone.</p>
<p>Biden is 78 years old, Pelosi is 81, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) is 70, and McConnell is 79.</p>
<p>Moreover, Supreme Court justices serve life-terms. Most recently, Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg served on the bench until her death in 2020. She was 87 years old when she passed.</p>
<p>And the tests should be &#8220;annual,&#8221; Cassidy suggested. &#8220;We each have a sacred responsibility to the people of the United States. It is not about me. It is about my ability to serve the people.&#8221;</p>
<p>Former White House physician Ronny Jackson <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/obamas-wh-doctor-bidens-cognitive-decline-is-on-full-display-must-be-forced-out-immediately">said</a> back in August that Biden was not cognitively fit for office.</p>
<p>Jackson, who served under the Obama and Trump administrations, posted in a tweet following a Biden speech: “That was embarrassing. There is something so obviously wrong with Biden’s cognitive fitness it was hard to watch. He should NOT remain President for another SECOND. We deserve better – MUCH better.”</p>
<p>“Biden’s speech yesterday was bizarre,&#8221; the doctor added. “His cognitive decline is on full display, and the results have been disastrous. Our nation can’t take this ANY longer.”</p>
<p>As highlighted by <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/obamas-wh-doctor-bidens-cognitive-decline-is-on-full-display-must-be-forced-out-immediately">The Daily Wire</a>, Jackson told Fox New&#8217;s Jesse Watters at the time that Biden was not “cognitively fit to be our commander in chief.”</p>
<p>“And of course, I hoped that was wrong, but I’m not,” Jackson said, referring to his past declaration&#8217;s about Biden&#8217;s cognitive fitness. “And we’re seeing it played out on the international stage right now. He’s destroying the reputation of this country. He’s getting Americans killed. There’s … American blood being shed in Afghanistan again, for the first time in many, many, many months. And it’s not going to be the last, you’re right.”</p>
