Patrick Mahomes‘ 8-month-old son had a “scary and frantic” trip to the hospital Wednesday, according to the QB’s wife, Brittany Mahomes.
Brittany shared on her Instagram Story that she had to take their son, Patrick “Bronze” Lavon Mahomes III, to the ER after discovering that he is allergic to peanuts, People magazine reported.
“We took a very scary and frantic trip to the ER yesterday after finding out this guy is highly, highly allergic to peanuts,” Brittany wrote.
“The scariest 30 min of my life,” she added.

Her post included a photo of their child taking a bottle, with the message “my perfect boy.” In a second post, the Chiefs’ player’s wife shared another photo of their son, this time showing him sleeping soundly and cuddled up against her.
“Another tooth coming in so he needed some extra snuggles tonight,” the mom of two wrote.
Brittany and Patrick met in high school in Texas. They welcomed a daughter, Sterling Skye, in 2021, and the couple finally tied the knot in 2022. Last year, they shared news that they were expecting again and welcomed Bronze in November 2022.
In February, Mahomes praised God, his wife, and their two kids after he scored the NFL’s top honor as the league’s Most Valuable Player for 2022.

“First, I want to thank God for giving me this platform and putting so many amazing people around me to help support this dream I’ve had since I was a little kid,” the star QB shared. “Without him, none of this would be possible.”
“To my wife Brittany, my baby girl Sterling and my son Bronze, this crazy life that we are living means nothing without y’all,” he added. “Keeping me balanced and making me appreciate every single day.”
“No matter how I feel coming home, y’all bring me joy and make me appreciate the time I get to spend with y’all,” Mahomes continued. “Thank you for always being there for me through my good times and my bad. Love y’all.”
