<p>Billionaire Oprah Winfrey spoke at the Democratic National Convention on Wednesday evening and told the crowd that &#8220;there is no American Dream&#8221; without abortion.</p>
<p>The Democrats&#8217; platform indicates that they support <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/elections/2024/08/21/abortion-ivf-dnc/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">abortion</a> through all nine months of pregnancy without any restrictions &#8212; a far more radical position than most Americans hold.</p>
<p>&#8220;If you do not have autonomy over this &#8212; &#8221; Winfrey told the DNC while gesturing toward her body, &#8220;if you cannot control when and how you choose to bring your children into this world, and how they are raised and supported, there is no American Dream.&#8221;</p>

<p>Winfrey went on to praise abortion advocates as the &#8220;new freedom fighters.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;The women and men who are battling to keep us from going back to a time of desperation and shame and stone-cold fear, they are the new freedom fighters,&#8221; she said. &#8220;And make no mistake: They are the best of America.&#8221;</p>

<p>The DNC has had a running theme of abortion. As highlighted by The Daily Wire, a Planned Parenthood bus provided free abortions and vasectomies about a half mile down the street from the convention on Monday and Tuesday.</p>
<p>The mobile abortion clinic <a href="https://www.thewrap.com/planned-parenthood-mobile-clinic-services-provided/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reportedly</a> provided eight abortions and nine vasectomies over the first two days of the DNC.</p>

<p>The theme of Winfrey&#8217;s speech, generally, was &#8220;freedom,&#8221; which she argued is an important right to Democrats, while Republicans want to restrict Americans&#8217; freedom, she claimed. Giving one example, Winfrey cited so-called book bans, referring to Republicans working to remove sexually explicit books from the classroom of young children.</p>
