<p>On Saturday, in an article detailing prominent Republican politicians who will not support President Trump’s reelection, <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2020/06/06/us/politics/trump-biden-republicans-voters.html?smid=tw-share">The New York Times</a> reported that former President George W. Bush would not support President Trump’s reelection.</p>
<p>But on Saturday night, Freddy Ford, a spokesman for Bush, told <a href="https://www.texastribune.org/2020/06/06/george-w-bush-donald-trump/">The Texas Tribune </a> that the Times’ proclamation about his boss was false. He stated in an email, &#8220;This is completely made up. He is retired from presidential politics and has not indicated how he will vote.&#8221;</p>
