“The Rubin Report” host Dave Rubin announced on Wednesday that he will not tour his book in any location that requires vaccine ID or masks, claiming he is “not playing this evil game.”
Rubin shared the comments during a Twitter post in which he said the move would “cost me a bunch of money.”
“As long as I’m on a Covid kick this morning I should also mention that I have informed my agents I will not be touring my book in any theaters which require vaccine ID or masks. This will eliminate dozens of stops and cost me a bunch of money but I’m not playing this evil game,” he tweeted.

The post followed another controversial statement Rubin made on Twitter on Wednesday that referred to a CNN medical guest’s report condemning unvaccinated Americans.
“These people are deranged psychopaths,” Rubin wrote. “Ignore them and live your life.”
He added that the tweet was, “Sent from Florida.”
I’m not vaccinated. I got Covid a few weeks ago. Got monoclonal, took Ivermectin, Advil and drank lots of water. Better in a few days.

The Florida mention seemingly referenced both the state’s reputation for freedom from COVID-19 restrictions and Rubin’s recent move to the Sunshine State from the more restrictive state of California.
Rubin announced in December that he was leaving the “dystopian nightmare” of California for Florida.
Rubin personally thanked California Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom as the reason he chose to leave the Golden State.

The host also tagged Florida Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis in his announcement, referring to his new home as “the free state of Florida,” noting he would, “See you soon.”

The Daily Wire previously reported regarding Rubin’s move to Florida:
In his video announcement, Rubin said, “We have the top marginal income tax rate in the country, 7% sales tax, our gas tax is 50 cents, and now they’re trying to push through a retroactive tax, an exit tax for rich California residents who leave.”
Rubin also said, “They want to tax you for leaving. They stole all that stuff from you and now they want more because you make the decision to leave. California is the most regulated state in the country, with L.A. being probably the most-regulated city in the state.”
