MSNBC Hires Former Kamala Harris Spokesperson

Former Kamala Harris senior adviser and chief spokesperson Symone Sanders has a new job.

MSBNBC reported Sanders will host a weekend program on the network as well as a weekday program on the network’s Peacock streaming channel, “The Choice from MSNBC,” according to Deadline. The announcement comes just two weeks after Sanders left the vice president’s office.

The former Harris staffer’s show will “explore issues at the intersection of politics, culture and race and break down how decisions made in Washington impact electorates, industries, and communities across the country,” the network said in the announcement.

Sanders also made the announcement public on Twitter on Monday.

Well I guess I have some news to share this morning. I am excited to join @MSNBC and @TheChoice! I look forward to working with some of the most talented and amazing people in news. There is a lot to learn, but I’m ready to get to work!” Sanders wrote.

The Washington Post first reported her plans to leave the White House on December 1, just five months after joining Harris.

“Symone has served honorably for three years. The President and Vice President are grateful for Symone’s service and advocacy for this Administration. She is a valued member of the White House and a team player — she will be missed,” a spokesperson for Harris told the Post in December.

Sanders is one of multiple Harris staff members to depart in recent weeks following claims of dysfunction within the office. The Daily Wire previously reported:

Vincent Evans, deputy director of public engagement and intergovernmental affairs, has quit to take on a new job on Capitol Hill, CNBC reported Wednesday. He left to join the Congressional Black Caucus, which is headed by Rep. Joyce Beatty (D-OH), which certainly appears to be less than a lateral move.

He is the latest top staffer to leave the veep’s office amid reports that Harris is a “bully” who levels “soul-destroying criticism” in a highly dysfunctional office. Last month, her spokeswoman, Symone Sanders, and her communications director Ashley Etienne, left Harris’ office.

Sanders previously worked on the Biden campaign. As The Daily Wire previously reported, MSNBC has many connections with the Biden-Harris administration:

Fox News host Laura Ingraham called out the bias of mainstream media on Wednesday for favoring President Joe Biden, calling his administration the “MSNBC administration.”

“This isn’t the Biden administration, is it, really? It’s the MSNBC administration,” she said during her Fox News program “The Ingraham Angle.”

“This is the Democrats’ entire political agenda in 2022: ‘We’ll protect from you the insurrectionists,’” Ingraham also noted.

The host also said the nation is not a “hard-left country” and will not respond to the Biden-friendly attitude of MSNBC.

“This isn’t a hard left country. They’re not going to be able to convince voters to dump the Electoral College, make D.C. a state, get rid of capitalism, or eliminate prisons. Not going to happen,” Ingraham said.

The Biden administration is also well-connected with the network. Mediaite reported that “A number of Biden officials were previously contributors at MSNBC, namely Barbara McQuade, Richard Stengel, Dr. Zeke Emanuel, and Karine Jean Pierre.”
