Moving Up: Hope Hicks Will Take Over As White House Communications Director

   DailyWire.com

The White House announced Tuesday that Hope Hicks, a longtime aide to President Donald Trump, will stay on permanently as White House Communications Director.

Hicks was appointed to the role temporarily when Anthony Scaramucci departed the West Wing after just ten days at the helm of the President’s communication operation. But the post became official Tuesday, according to White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders.

At just 28 years old, Hope Hicks became the youngest person ever to hold such a prestigious White House title, but Hicks is a veteran of both the Trump Organization and the Trump White House — and she’s known as one of Trump’s most trusted aides. Hicks has been part of Trump’s inner circle since the early days of his presidential campaign, even as many of Trump’s high-level staffers have come and gone, and before that, she worked for Trump’s real estate company and the public relations firm that represents Ivanka Trump’s clothing and accessories brand.

The job won’t be easy, however. Seven months into the Trump Administration, the West Wing has already blown through four communications directors. One, Jason Miller, resigned before his term even started. Mike Dubke lasted just a few months. Sean Spicer took over the duties of White House Communications Director as part of his position as Press Secretary, but resigned when Trump named Anthony Scaramucci to the job. Scaramucci, of course, was packing his office before his term even officially began.

Hicks certainly has quite the job ahead of her.
