On Tuesday night, Anthony Scaramucci, who was summarily fired as White House communications director on July 31, only ten days after the announcement of his hiring on July 21, issued a tweet mocking his short stay near the center of power:
There were some pointed responses on Twitter:
Scaramucci was escorted off the White House grounds the day of his firing; White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said, “Anthony Scaramucci will be leaving his role as White House Communications Director. Mr. Scaramucci felt it was best to give Chief of Staff John Kelly a clean slate and the ability to build his own team. We wish him all the best.”
Roughly two weeks ago, even before White House advisor Steve Bannon became another person leaving the administration, Scaramucci mocked the quick turnover at the White House;
Scaramucci was the third communications director for the White House to leave; he was preceded by Jason Miller and Mike Dubke.
