Lindsay Lohan Defends Harvey Weinstein: ‘Everyone Needs to Stop’

   DailyWire.com

Mean Girls star Lindsay Lohan has come to the defense of embattled Hollywood producer Harry Weinstein, saying she does not “think it’s right what’s going on.”

“I feel very bad for Harvey Weinstein right now, I don’t think it’s right what’s going on,” Lindsay explained, according to EOnline.com. “I think Georgina needs to take a stand and be there for her husband.”

The actress made the now-deleted comments on Instagram.

Lohan added of Weinstein: “He’s never harmed me or did anything to me – we’ve done several movies together.I think everyone needs to stop – I think it’s wrong. So stand up.”

Shortly after Lohan made the posts, Georgina Chapman announced that she was leaving her husband of 10 years.

“My heart breaks for all the women who have suffered tremendous pain because of these unforgivable actions. I have chosen to leave my husband. Caring for my young children is my first priority and I ask the media for privacy at this time,” Chapman said in a statement.

Since the story broke, numerous actresses have come out alleging sexual misconduct by the film magnate. On Tuesday, actresses Angelina Jolie and Gwyneth Paltrow accused Weinstein of sexual abuse.

Actresses Ashley Judd, Asia Argento and Rosanna Arquette also came forward after the initial report in The New York Times and The New Yorker. Weinstein’s company fired him on Sunday, and he has reportedly gone to France to undergo therapy.

Buzzfeed’s Lauren Yap caught the video before it was deleted and shared it on Twitter.
