Not even 24 hours since DailyWire+ comedy “Lady Ballers” premiered online, the film has racked up more than 1,000 audience scores on popular review site Rotten Tomatoes, landing a staggeringly high 97% average rating.
The movie tells the story of a down-on-his-luck former high school basketball coach named Rob, played by Daily Wire co-founder Jeremy Boreing, who will do anything to win — in this case, teaching his team of men radical modern gender theory and leading them to identify as women in order to brutally dominate multiple women’s sports.
“Not every day you see something original and fresh. Haven’t laughed this much in a long time. Highly recommended,” one of the reviews reads, with another reading, “Loved it! Funny and original; this movie does what others don’t have the balls to do!”
Notably, there are only six total of the 1,000+ audience reviews currently available to be viewed on the site. Three of the six visible reviews complain to some extent that the movie is “transphobic” and filled with “hatred.”
The Daily Wire has reached out to Rotten Tomatoes about the issue but has yet to receive a response.

Additionally, following the premiere, some social media users noted that they were unable to leave a review on the site.
“[Rotten Tomatoes] doesn’t like us leaving positive reviews of #LadyBallers so it’s resorted to preventing us from submitting them due to a ‘technical glitch,'” one person speculated.
A screenshot of the issue shows the following note from Rotten Tomatoes: “We had trouble submitting your review. It’s not you, it’s us. You might have better luck if you try again in a minute.”

Film critic and founder of HollywoodInToto.com, Christian Toto, posted online Friday night that Rotten Tomatoes was actually working to wipe reviews that were posted before the movie was even premiered. “Users tried to review bomb #LadyBallers … Rotten Tomatoes, to its credit, just wiped out those reviews knowing the film isn’t available yet for streaming,” he wrote.
One of the early one-star posts highlighted by Toto bluntly states that the “reviewer” did not see the film and doesn’t plan to. “I did not see it and I do not plan to. This movie is by its very nature transphobic,” the user complains.
