It’s not uncommon for new parents to wait a few days or even several weeks before naming their new baby. It’s less common for parents to choose a name and take it back, but, that’s exactly what happened with reality star Kylie Jenner and rapper Travis Scott and their newest bundle of joy.
The couple welcomed their son on February 2 and just over a month later, they’re picking a new name for the child, Fox News reported. Jenner shared the news via her Instagram Stories along with never-before-seen moments of the baby’s birth.
“FYI our son’s name isn’t Wolf anymore,” the Kylie Cosmetics founder explained. “We just really didn’t feel like it was him. Just wanted to share because I keep seeing Wolf everywhere,” she said with a praying hands emoji.
The 24 year old did not elaborate on what name they decided to use instead.
Jenner and Scott already share a 4-year-old daughter, Stormi, together. Just like she did before, the millionaire model released a video homage to her new baby detailing the baby shower, the nursery, and cameos from Kardashian-Jenner family members including Kris Jenner, Kim Kardashian and Khloe Kardashian sending their love. The nine-minute YouTube video was titled, “To Our Son.”
Fans noticed some high-end details in the baby boy’s neutral-themed nursery including a $9,000 limited edition Louis Vuitton teddy bear from the 2004 collection. The newborn’s closet is also stocked with high-end designer shoes and other pricey fashion items.
His name was briefly Wolf, but the newborn’s baby shower was giraffe-themed, the video revealed. Stormi makes a few appearances in the video tribute playing with blocks in her baby brother’s new room.
Scott and Jenner started dating in 2017 before allegedly splitting in 2019 while continuing to co-parent Stormi amicably. They quietly reconciled in 2021, and not long after Jenner announced she was pregnant with the couple’s second baby.
The Kylie Cosmetics founder said she always felt called to have children.
“Motherhood really feels like something I was always meant to do,” the “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” alum told Elle in a September interview. “Watching Stormi experience everything for the first time has been the best part of these last few years.”
She followed up with some advice for parents.
“Be gentle with yourself. Motherhood is such a balancing act, and I just try to take one day at a time!”
And this couple may not be stopping with two kids. During an Instagram Live in 2020, Jenner told fans she wanted a big family.
According to People, the makeup mogul said she’d be happy to have “seven kids down the line, but not right now,” then explained how, “pregnancy is just not a joke, it’s a serious thing and it’s hard.”
