Kyle Rittenhouse told Tucker Carlson on Monday night that he is looking into suing co-host of “The View” Whoopi Goldberg as well as online political commentator Cenk Uygur for comments they made about him regarding his homicide trial in Kenosha, Wisconsin in 2021.

According to Rittenhouse, both Goldberg and Uygur have called him a murderer, even after Rittenhouse was ultimately found not guilty after he was accused of murdering two men during the summer of 2020 during a protest that evolved into a riot. As noted by Rittenhouse, the 18-year-old will be holding “everybody” who lied about him accountable — including politicians, celebrities, athletes, and more.

At the beginning of the segment on “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” Carlson explained that “for over a year, media outlets in this country lied about Kyle Rittenhouse in an effort to have put behind bars for the rest of his life. They called him a white supremacist, which he is not. They told us he crossed states lines with an AR-15, which he did not, and therefore he was a terrorist.”

“White supremacy – no one he shot was not white, everyone involved in the story was white, of course, but it’s white supremacy,” Carlson continued. “They’re lying to put the kid in prison for the rest of his life. What they just told you there are lies. Rittenhouse’s mother didn’t drive him across state lines with an AR-15, he borrowed the gun from a friend in Wisconsin. He lived about 15 minutes from Wisconsin. He worked in Wisconsin. So, the question is, after a full year of watching these people lie in order to imprison a kid for the rest of his life, who’s going to hold the liars accountable?”

Towards the end of the segment, Carlson asked, “You have a lot of potential targets to sue yourself. Will you be suing any of these news organizations, and if so when?”

“We’re looking at quite a few, politicians, celebrities, athletes, Whoopi Goldberg is on the list, she called me a murderer after I was acquitted by a jury of my peers, she went on to to still say that,” Rittenhouse responded.

“Don’t forget about Cenk from ‘The Young Turks,'” Rittenhouse continued. “He called me a murderer before the verdict and continues to call me a murderer.”

Rittenhouse also said that he is going to “absolutely” hold individuals who called him a white supremacist “accountable.” That portion of the interview can be seen here:

As The Daily Wire reported earlier on Monday night, Rittenhouse also announced his new organization “The Media Accountability Project” — a group that will be used to hold “members of the media accountable” for lies and defamation similar to what Rittenhouse endured before, during, and after.

“I can’t think of many people who’ve been at the receiving end of this much sinister lying from so-called news organizations as you have,” Carlson told Rittenhouse.

“How are you going to respond?” he asked.

“Well, Tucker, thank you for having me,” Rittenhouse responded. “Me and my team have decided to launch the ‘Media Accountability Project’ as a tool to help fundraise and hold the media accountable for the lies they said and deal with them in court.”

“Interesting, so the idea is — maybe like the Covington Catholic kids — you will be suing news organizations that maliciously lie about people who are in the news?” Carlson inquired.

“Yes, sir. We’re going to be holding them accountable, Tucker.” Rittenhouse affirmed.

“I guess I have to ask kind of a dumb question, why isn’t there a group like this that exists already since the media so often are not observers, they’re players, they’re participants in the news? Why hasn’t somebody done this before?” the host asked.

“That’s a good question, Tucker, and I’m not sure, to be honest,” Rittenhouse answered. “But I don’t want to see anybody else have to deal with what I went through, so I want to hold them accountable for what they did to me, because I don’t want to see anybody else have to go through what I went through.”
