Kim Kardashian broke down in tears of gratitude after ex-husband Kanye West brought her all materials related to a past sex tape, trying to protect the mother of four, and the pair’s children.
On the family’s new Hulu show, “The Kardashians,” the reality TV star was dealing with allegations that never-before-seen video from her sex tape with then-boyfriend Ray J was going to soon be released. West retrieved the related laptop and hard drive from the rapper and gave them to his ex.
“He got me all of the sex tape back,” Kardashian said on the show, Yahoo! Entertainment reported.
“I know Kanye did this for me, but he also did this for my kids,” the reality star explained. “I want to shield them from as much as I can. And if I have the power to, or if Kanye has the power to, like, that is just the most important thing to me, and I’m just, like, so emotional because of it. It just means a lot to me.”
“Thank you for Kanye and for his unbelievable way he does things, and the ability to get something done,” mother Kris Jenner chimed in. “And probably a big fat huge check.”
West responded to set the record straight, “Oh, definitely not no check. We not getting extorted ever again.”
Kardashian later learned that “it was just footage of us at a restaurant, at a nightclub,” she said. “Nothing sexual, nothing weird, and so now I can take a deep breath and not worry about this right before SNL, right before the Bar, right before, like, everything.”
Back in March, West made headlines when he publicly raised issue with his 8-year-old daughter North dancing in TikTok videos while wearing makeup under Kardashian’s supervision.
“I told y’all before about this tik tok stuff,” West said via Instagram, The Daily Wire reported. “Now my 8 year old on here signing [sic] she fell in love with an emo girl Leftists don’t want fathers to have no say in our childrens’ lives.”
“My daughter will not be lead [sic] by people who don’t believe in God I am in a very good place and a very God place inside the will of God I am being still right now,” West captioned a post of North wearing black lipstick and eye makeup. “This all feels like a set up. They want me to react.”
