<p><a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/kevin-costner" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Kevin Costner</a> won a court battle against his estranged wife <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/kevin-costners-estranged-wife-accuses-him-of-withholding-financial-info-amid-divorce-battle" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Christine Baumgartner</a> after a judge sided with the star on child support payments after the couple filed for divorce in May following nearly 20 years of marriage.</p>
<p>Judge Thomas Anderle ruled on Friday that the 68-year-old actor would pay $63,209 monthly in his custody battle after the &#8220;<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/kevin-costner-thanks-fans-after-yellowstone-scores-first-major-award-explains-why-he-missed-ceremony" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Yellowstone</a>&#8221; star was initially temporarily ordered to pay the former handbag designer, 49, in July $129,755 for support of the estranged couple&#8217;s kids, Cayden, 16, Hayes, 14, and Grace, 13, <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/kevin-costner-wins-divorce-court-battle-child-support" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Fox News</a> reported.</p>
<p>The ruling came after Baumgartner had asked for an increase of the initial payment to $161,592 during a Thursday hearing, <a href="https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/kevin-costner-spotted-son-winning-060033323.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Yahoo Entertainment</a> noted.</p>
<p>The actor&#8217;s wife initially filed a request in June of $248,000 per month for child support, <a href="https://www.tmz.com/2023/09/01/kevin-costner-ordered-to-pay-estranged-wife-63k-in-child-support/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">TMZ</a> noted. Costner asked for the support payments to be $51,000.</p>

<p>During a hearing on Friday, Costner took the stand and said, &#8220;Somehow in this unusual world, we didn&#8217;t make it, and I&#8217;m sorry,&#8221; <a href="https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/kevin-costner-spotted-son-winning-060033323.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Yahoo</a> noted.</p>
<p>&#8220;The last thing I wanted was to not be able to come home to my home with my children,&#8221; the Hollywood star told the <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/kevin-costner-wins-divorce-court-battle-child-support" target="_blank" rel="noopener">court</a>. &#8220;We did a prenup.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;My biggest concern now is that the court orders me to pay child support so much so that … I run out of cash,&#8221; he added.</p>

<p>The &#8220;Field of Dreams&#8221; star spoke to <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/kevin-costner-wins-divorce-court-battle-child-support" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Fox News</a> and said that his world has &#8220;been shook up&#8221; by the divorce.</p>
<p>&#8220;So, there’s a few things I have to do with this seismic change,&#8221; Costner said. &#8220;There&#8217;s a few responsibilities I can&#8217;t run away from. Mostly what I have to do is figure out how to spend more time with the children and help walk them through this … spend a little time with myself.&#8221;</p>
<p>Costner and Baumgartner split in April, per court documents. In May, Christine <a href="https://people.com/kevin-costner-wife-christine-never-pressured-him-to-leave-yellowstone-before-breakup-7550917" target="_blank" rel="noopener">filed for divorce</a> from &#8220;The Postman&#8221; star after 18 years of marriage, citing &#8220;irreconcilable differences.&#8221;</p>
<p>The &#8220;Dances with Wolves&#8221; star was previously married to Cindy Costner, with whom he shares three children: Annie, 39, Lily, 37, and Joe, 35. The couple divorced in 1994. He also has a son, Liam, 27, with Bridget Rooney.</p>
