Kate Middleton definitely got everyone’s attention when she shared a sweet Christmas throwback picture of her as a one-year-old celebrating the holidays and looking almost identical to her three kids.
On Monday, the Princess of Wales posted the image that was captured in 1983 on Instagram.
“Sharing some festive memories this Christmas because [ShapingUs] is all about the vital importance of our early years and the role played by those around us in shaping the rest of our lives of The Princess, Christmas 1983,” the caption on the official account for the Prince and Princess of Wales read.
The post promoted a televised Christmas Eve special and the Shaping Us campaign, an effort to motivate people to post images from their childhood on social media.

Reading through the comments, people shared their opinions about the young Middleton looking like her children, but most thought she most closely resembled 5-year-old Prince Louis.
“I think we can all agree Louis is the splitting image of his mother…..the Middleton gene is visible,” one account posted.
Another added, “Awww Louis is definitely his mama’s double. Adorable! Thank you for this photo to the Middletons.”

Middleton appeared in a video message released over the weekend promoting the “Together at Christmas Carol Service” on ITV, where she emphasized the importance of the early years of childhood.
“The arrival of every baby is a precious and momentous time, it brings us together to reflect on new beginnings and brings hope for the future,” the Princess of Wales wrote on X for an introduction video of the Christmas special on ITV, Entertainment Tonight noted.
“Throughout our earliest interactions, relationships and experiences, with those who love us, even before we are born, we lay the foundations to so much of what that future will depend on,” the message added.
“But only by valuing and supporting the vital role of the adults in a child’s world can we hope to make a difference,” the statement concluded.
