Rapper Kanye West said he’s the kind of person who would rather learn from “good conversation,” admitting that he actually hasn’t ever “read any book.”
During the 45-year-old rapper’s recent appearance on Alo Yoga’s “Alo Mind Full” podcast, West noted that reading books isn’t his thing, reports USA Today. In the episode, titled “Ye: Music and Fashion Icon,” the rapper said he’s a bigger fan of “good conversation” as a way to learn.
“I actually haven’t read any book,” West replied. “Reading is like eating Brussels sprouts for me. And talking is like getting the Giorgio Baldi corn ravioli.”
Kanye West shared that he’s repulsed by literature, comparing books to a vegetable often despised by children. https://t.co/2OzWsBkE9n

West’s remark was a reference to a famous pasta dish served at Giorgi Baldi’s Santa Monica restaurant, the outlet noted.
He also admitted to only reading the first and last paragraphs in long text messages.
Later, the conversation turned to West’s non-accredited private school, Donda Academy, in Simi Valley, California, as he discussed the need for “balance” in curriculum.
“We have to balance things with curriculums that allow for self-confidence,” the rapper shared. “Because so many of the schools and modern indoctrinations take away from the confidence that these future leaders would have in themselves.”
The school recently made headlines after a report surfaced that parents had to sign a nondisclosure agreement.
A description about the school on their website reads, “Using an ethic of integrity and care, Donda Academy prepares students to become the next generation of leaders, thinkers and innovators by providing them with a world-class education that includes a rigorous core curriculum, and an emphasis on sustainability, creativity, critical thinking and problem solving.”
In 2020, Kanye announced that he was running for President of the United States. Less than two weeks later, he dropped out of the race, as The Daily Wire previously reported.
West was previously married to reality star Kim Kardashian, who filed for divorce from the rapper after nearly seven years of marriage. The two share four children.
