Popular Canadian psychologist Jordan Peterson on &#8220;The Joe Rogan Experience&#8221; said this week that he predicted the targeting of &#8220;thousands of young girls&#8221; the moment &#8220;fundamental sex categories&#8221; were &#8220;messed with.&#8221;
&#8220;I knew full well as a clinician that as soon as we messed with fundamental sex categories, and changed the terminology, we would fatally confuse thousands of young girls,&#8221; Peterson told host Joe Rogan, speaking of &#8220;rapid onset gender dysphoria amongst women.&#8221;
&#8220;I knew that,&#8221; Peterson added. &#8220;Because I knew the literature on psychological contagion, and it stretches back like &#8230; 300 years. Psychological contagions are very common.&#8221;
&#8220;I knew a kid in Toronto, who was on the autistic spectrum &#8212; and a lot of the people who are manifesting serious issues with gender identity are on the autistic spectrum,&#8221; the bestselling author added.

Continuing to discuss gender, Peterson targeted gender stereotypes and transgenderism.
&#8220;The most reliable difference that physiologists have ever found between men and women &#8212; the biggest difference &#8212; is interest. Women are reliably more interested in people, and men are reliably more interested in things,&#8221; he explained, noting that there is of course &#8220;overlap.&#8221;
Giving an example of an outlier, or overlap, Peterson noted: &#8220;I&#8217;m a man who&#8217;s more interested in people than things. That&#8217;s why I&#8217;m a psychologist. I actually have a relatively feminine personality structure because I&#8217;m pretty high in negative emotion, and I&#8217;m pretty high in agreeableness. And that&#8217;s the typical feminine structure.&#8221;
The &#8220;12 Simple Rules&#8221; author then explained how breaking these generally true stereotypes doesn&#8217;t make one transgender, or a &#8220;woman born in a man&#8217;s body.&#8221;
&#8220;We have this idea in our culture that you can be a woman born in a man&#8217;s body,&#8221; he said. &#8220;And that&#8217;s not true. But you can definitely be a man with a feminine personality structure.&#8221;
When men are feminine, or women are masculine, &#8220;that doesn&#8217;t mean they&#8217;re in the wrong body,&#8221; he asserted. &#8220;It just means that men and women are more alike than different.&#8221;

During the same podcast episode, Peterson discussed the Bible, and how he recently realized that it is the basis of &#8220;truth&#8221; and &#8220;agreement.&#8221;
“If categories just dissolve, especially fundamental ones, the culture is dissolving, because the culture is a structure of category. That’s what it is,” Peterson said, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/peterson-to-rogan-bible-precondition-for-the-manifestation-of-truth-way-more-true-than-just-true">The Daily Wire</a> reported. “So and in fact, culture is a structure of category that we all share. So we see things the same way. But that’s why we can talk, I mean, not exactly the same way, because then we have nothing to talk about, but, roughly speaking, we have a bedrock of agreement. That’s the Bible, by the way.”
