<p>Late-night host Jimmy Kimmel literally cried on Wednesday over Donald Trump winning the 2024 election, claiming it was a &#8220;terrible day&#8221; for all Americans, even for those who voted for Trump.</p>
<p>Kimmel, along with other late-night hosts, is an ardent anti-Trumper who routinely mocks the former, and future, president in mean-spirited monologues and sketches.</p>
<p>“It was a terrible night for women, for children, for the hundreds of thousands of hard-working immigrants who make this country go, for health care, for our climate, for science, for journalism, for justice, for free speech,&#8221; Kimmel said through tears to his liberal audience in Hollywood.</p>
<p>“I’ve been trying to come up with something positive, the best I can come up with is we’ve been through this once before and yes this time it’s probably gonna be worse, maybe a lot worse,&#8221; Kimmel amped up the dramatics.</p>
<p>The host went on to take some not-so-subtle shots at Trump&#8217;s supporters, too, like suggesting they lack &#8220;common sense&#8221; and are ignorant or stupid.</p>

<p>“I’m disappointed, I know a lot of you are too,&#8221; he said. &#8220;I thought common sense would prevail. I’m so stupid, I always think it’s gonna but for a lot of people, this just isn’t important. It’s not high on their list.”</p>
<p>&#8220;It was a terrible night for everyone who voted against him, and guess what?&#8221; Kimmel continued. &#8220;It was a bad night for everyone who voted for him too. You just don&#8217;t realize it yet.&#8221;</p>

<p>Kimmel recently made headlines for <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/prison-time-biden-doj-jailed-memester-for-joke-like-jimmy-kimmel-just-made">joking</a> that Trump supporters should vote <em>after</em> Election Day. &#8220;If you want to vote for Trump, vote late,&#8221; he said. &#8220;Vote very late. Do your voting on Thursday or maybe Friday.&#8221;</p>
<p>Despite Kimmel&#8217;s cries of supposed authoritarianism under Trump, it was the Biden-Harris DOJ who <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/trump-supporter-douglass-mackey-sentenced-to-7-months-in-prison-over-voting-memes">sentenced</a> a young man named <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/biden-doj-trying-to-lock-up-a-pro-trump-meme-maker-for-ten-years-heres-what-you-need-to-know" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Douglass Mackey</a> to prison time for a similar joke made online about Hillary Clinton supporters.</p>
