On Saturday, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) appeared on “Justice with Judge Jeanine” on Fox News to discuss the Kyle Rittenhouse verdict, as well as the Biden administration’s Build Back Better agenda.

After speaking about the credibility of the Biden administration broadly, Jordan zeroed in on Biden’s remarks regarding the Rittenhouse verdict.

“It’s ridiculous what he said about Kyle Rittenhouse in this case. We all saw the evidence, we saw the videos, we saw Kyle Rittenhouse testify. We believed him because he said the truth,” Jordan said. “So, we actually believed this young man, what he went through, what he said. We believe the truth and the facts that came out there; no one believes anything Joe Biden says anymore.”

Following Rittenhouse being found not guilty on all charges on Friday, Joe Biden released a statement that began with: “While the verdict in Kenosha will leave many Americans feeling angry and concerned, myself included, we must acknowledge that the jury has spoken.”

Pirro then played a clip in which Vice President Kamala Harris said of the verdict: “The verdict really speaks for itself. As many of you know, I’ve spent a majority of my career working to make the criminal justice system more equitable, and clearly there’s a lot more work to do.”

Jordan replied, first noting that “they don’t even want real debate. They just want to say, if you don’t agree with me, we’re going to call you racist, we’re going to call you names.”

He continued by praising the jury in the Rittenhouse case:

No one could watch that [case] — if this wasn’t self-defense, tell me what self-defense looks like. We know the facts, the truth, due process won, the Second Amendment won. This was a good day for the country that those 12 jurors were willing to do this in the right way, and follow the facts, follow the truth, follow the law. That was a win for America and for our great system.

PARTIAL TRANSCRIPT:

PIRRO: Answer the question: Joe Biden, based on no facts, no evidence, and clearly contrary to all the evidence, was willing to divide the country, comes in and says he’s going to unite the country. We must end “this uncivil war that pits red against blue.” I mean, how can these people be leading the country?

JORDAN: Well, I think if you look at the big picture … I don’t think anyone believes anything the Biden administration says…

It’s ridiculous what he said about Kyle Rittenhouse in this case. We all saw the evidence, we saw the videos, we saw Kyle Rittenhouse testify. We believed him because he said the truth. So, we actually believed this young man, what he went through, what he said. We believe the truth and the facts that came out there; no one believes anything Joe Biden says anymore.

PIRRO: You know, I’d like you to listen to this sound from Kamala Harris.

KAMALA HARRIS: The verdict really speaks for itself. As many of you know, I’ve spent a majority of my career working to make the criminal justice system more equitable, and clearly there’s a lot more work to do.

(End video clip)

PIRRO: You know, a lot of people don’t have a lot of respect for that woman, the vice president, but when she talks about the criminal justice system, you kind of hope that she at least knows what she’s talking about there. But even then, she’s saying there’s a lot more work to do. I mean, do any of these people explain what the problem is? Or [are] they just happy dividing us?

JORDAN: Yeah, that’s all they’re about, dividing us. They don’t actually want a First Amendment, they don’t even want real debate. They just want to say, if you don’t agree with me, we’re going to call you racist, we’re going to call you names. And if you try to speak up, then we’re going to try to cancel you. So it’s really sad where they’re at…

No one could watch that [case] — if this wasn’t self defense, tell me what self defense looks like. We know the facts, the truth, due process won, the Second Amendment won. This was a good day for the country that those 12 jurors were willing to do this in the right way, and follow the facts, follow the truth, follow the law. That was a win for America and for our great system.
