Amazon founder Jeff Bezos donated nearly $100 million to charities battling homelessness, according to ReCode, and he’s taken the unusual step of allowing those charities to control how the money is spent — but his generosity still isn’t enough for leftists, who would rather the government, and not Bezos himself, redistribute his largesse.
Bezos, unlike his fellow Seattle-based tech wizard, Bill Gates, isn’t well known for his philanthropy and, until now, has largely avoided private giving, but he’s looking to change that now that Amazon is running record profits.
