Jon Lovitz shut down critics who slammed him as a supporter of “genocide” for his defense of Israel following the Hamas terrorist attacks that resulted in the deaths of more than 1,400 people.
The 66-year-old actor-comedian took to X on Monday and hit back at one follower who wrote that he liked Lovitz but, “You support genocide.. I’m out.”
Lovitz replied, “No,” and said that he supports “Israel standing up for itself and destroying Hamas.”
No.

“Knowing Israel would retaliate and knowing innocent Palestinian civilians would be killed,” the actor continued. “They don’t care.”

When another account labeled Lovitz as “anti-Semitic,” claiming he’s “a jew defending a genocidal apartheid regime demanding all other jews do so,” the “Saturday Night Live” alumni wrote back, “…All lies. Keep trying.”
Lovitz recently made headlines when he blasted comedian John Oliver, who slammed America for supporting Israel.
“This country has emphatically picked a side,” Oliver, who accused Israel of “war crimes” and a “form of apartheid” in 2021, stated. “In recent years, we’ve given Israel $3.8 billion a year in military aid. You can make geopolitical arguments as to why that is or isn’t a valid thing to do, but it means we’re heavily implicated.”
Lovitz hit back at Oliver: “Yes. The United States is aligned with Israel, our Democratic ally, not Hamas, a terrorist organization who broke a two year cease fire, murdered at least 1,200 innocent civilians, and took 240 civilian hostages back with them. So they could start a never ending war with Israel and annihilate Israel and then Jews all over the world. God bless America.”
