<p>Hollywood star Brooke Shields reflected on the coming-of-age film she did in the 1980s and explained that what happened in the film &#8220;wouldn&#8217;t be allowed&#8221; today.</p>
<p>During the &#8220;Now What?&#8221; <a href="https://open.spotify.com/episode/32NWjEie3aUmmRLAqY8Ybz?si=h4zRgtXIRt6t1qn_xFd-ww" target="_blank" rel="noopener">podcast</a>, the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/this-isnt-right-brooke-shields-calls-out-barbara-walters-over-interview-question-when-actress-was-15" target="_blank" rel="noopener">57-year-old actress</a> and her former co-star on the film Christopher Atkins got together on Shield&#8217;s podcast and discussed how &#8220;Blue Lagoon&#8221;, a movie about two cousins who end up shipwrecked on an island, could never be made again.</p>
<p>&#8220;Never again will a movie be made like that ever,&#8221;  <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/put-out-to-pasture-brooke-shields-says-shes-still-here-and-slams-the-industry-for-not-representing-women-over-40" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Shields</a> explained. &#8220;They wouldn&#8217;t be allowed.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;Animals were hurt in the movie,&#8221; Atkins added. &#8220;We were spearing fish and all kinds of crazy things. Children are naked running down a beach.&#8221;</p>
<p>The movie featured quite a bit of nudity and sensuality with Atkins, 18, and Shields — a young star in Hollywood at the age of 14 during the filming.</p>
<p>Both stars also talked about how producers had hoped they would fall in love off-screen, as Shields noted their significant age gap.</p>
<p>&#8220;They wanted so desperately for us to fall in love with each other,&#8221; the &#8220;Endless Love&#8221; star shared, noting that being &#8220;forced into feeling anything&#8221; at that time she &#8220;didn’t react well&#8221; to that.</p>
<p>&#8220;Which was probably great for the film because that&#8217;s what it was all about,&#8221; the 61-year-old star replied. &#8220;You have to admit the chemistry between us was just amazing.&#8221;</p>

<p>&#8220;There were a lot of great, great moments that went on there, and I think it was a lot of that innocence that came off in the film that made it work even more,&#8221; he added.</p>
<p>And as far as those sex scenes, Brooke admitted she had a body-double fill-in for those scenes, but Atkins said he did not, the <a href="https://nypost.com/2022/12/21/brooke-shields-christopher-atkins-recall-uncomfortable-naked-scenes-in-the-blue-lagoon/">New York Post</a> noted.</p>
<p>&#8220;After that movie, it was hard to keep my clothes on,&#8221; &#8220;The Pirate Movie&#8221; star joked. &#8220;There were scenes where I was butt naked with you, if you remember, sliding down that slide and things like that. And that was a little awkward, but it was kind of funny for me because at this point in time I would just do it. But your reaction was [annoyed sounds].&#8221;</p>
