Israel Urges 35 States To Punish Ben & Jerry’s: ‘Its Antisemitic Decision Will Have Consequences’

Gilad Erdan, Israel’s Ambassador to the United Nations and the United States, sent letters to 35 governors whose states have laws against anti-Semitic Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) campaigns, urging them to take action against Ben & Jerry’s ice cream for engaging in the anti-Semitic campaign against Israel.

The company announced at the start of the week that it would no longer sell ice cream in the two ancient Biblical parts of Israel, Judea and Samaria, writing that it was “inconsistent with our values for Ben & Jerry’s ice cream to be sold in the Occupied Palestinian Territory.”
