<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">It seems Steven Avery himself, </span><i><span style="font-weight: 400;">from behind bars</span></i><span style="font-weight: 400;">, may be directing supporters to tank the Rotten Tomatoes&#8217; audience review score of Daily Wire host Candace Owens&#8217; docuseries “</span><a href="https://www.dailywire.com/show/convicting-a-murderer" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Convicting a Murderer</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">” (CAM).</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Avery and his nephew, Brendan Dassey, were convicted of murdering photographer Teresa Halbach back in 2007. The pair are featured in Netflix&#8217;s limited series &#8220;Making a Murderer&#8221; (MAM), garnering attention from celebrities and others online contending Avery is innocent. Owens&#8217; &#8220;CAM&#8221; tells the other side of the Avery case, specifically sharing information omitted or arguably manipulated within &#8220;MAM.&#8221;</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">&#8220;IMPORTANT: Steven is asking for all his supporters to flood Rotten Tomatoes and give &#8216;Convicting a Murderer&#8217; a bad review,&#8221; reads a post on the Facebook group called &#8220;Steven Avery is INNOCENT.” “This garbage and vitriol is NOT TRUE and we need our community to step up and let Candance [sic] Owens know that STEVEN AVERY IS INNOCENT!&#8221;</span></p>

Notably, it was just hours after this Facebook post was issued that &#8220;CAM&#8221; was flooded with bad reviews.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The “Steven Avery is INNOCENT” Facebook group routinely claims to have contact with Avery from prison. In numerous posts, random supporters of Avery are awarded a prize supposedly from Avery himself. </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">One &#8220;top contributor&#8221; of the group is a woman named Sandy Greenman; she&#8217;s Avery&#8217;s ex-girlfriend and </span><a href="https://www.newsweek.com/steven-averys-ex-girlfriend-says-making-murderer-subject-doing-well-after-covid-19-diagnosis-1509443"><span style="font-weight: 400;">told</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> Newsweek in 2020 that she speaks to the convict nearly every day. Greenman also posts photos of herself visiting Avery in prison. Moreover, in an apparent <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J2tNxwIZDV8" target="_blank" rel="noopener">recording</a> of Avery from March, the convict talks about being relayed everyone&#8217;s messages on his &#8220;site;&#8221; the &#8220;Steven Avery is INNOCENT&#8221; Facebook group has claimed credit here, suggesting Avery is referring to their Facebook group. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Additionally, it seems Avery is well aware of The Daily Wire&#8217;s &#8220;CAM&#8221; docuseries, seemingly telling supporters in an online recording, which was posted four months ago, to refrain from watching the &#8220;garbage&#8221; content.</span></p>
