Mere hours after a nationwide protest calling on men — and particularly senators assessing sexual assault claims leveled against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh — to “believe all women,” feminists and their leftist allies attacked Kavanaugh’s wife, Ashley, who appeared alongside her husband in a Fox News interview Monday night.
Apparently, it’s fine to “believe all women” and “respect all women” and “support women,” so long as those women align with you ideologically. If they’re standing by a man who has been, by all accounts, wrongfully accused of sexual misconduct, they’re fair game for social media — and mainstream media — bullying.
The Kavanaughs, of course, won’t be shocked by Twitter’s response.

Brett Kavanaugh has already been convicted in social media kangaroo court, so feminists who purport to “believe all women” while excoriating and bullying those backing Brett Kavanaugh is to be expected. A more interesting phenomenon occurred within mainstream media circles, who, in stories published Monday night and Tuesday morning, accused Ashley Kavanaugh of “standing by her man” — a reference to 90s-era political wives who supported their husbands through real allegations of sexual misconduct — and accused her of taking a page from Hillary Clinton’s playbook.
That’s right, suddenly they’ve admitted Hillary Clinton protected a known abuser, now that there’s no chance she’s relevant to the task at hand, impeaching Brett Kavanaugh.
The Washington Post referenced Clinton in its headline, which screamed, “Ashley Estes Kavanaugh revives old-fashioned script in newfangled era.” That “old fashioned script,” they say, was authored by Hillary Clinton. Jezebel suggested that Ashley was used as a cover; Politico called Ashley’s response to interview questions a “test” of “standing by your man” in the #MeToo era.
It turns out the campaign against Kavanaugh isn’t about character at all, not that that’s surprising either.
