Megyn Kelly and Piers Morgan reacted on Monday after two biological men took the two of the three top spots in the Illinois State Women’s Cyclocross Championship on Sunday.
Tessa (Michael) Johnson and “Evelyn” Williamson took home the gold and silver medals in the women’s singlespeed category of the competition, leaving only one spot for a woman on the podium.
The host of the Sirius XM “Megyn Kelly Show” podcast had only one word for the insanity of men competing in the women’s sporting event, “Infuriating.”
Kelly’s post also included a link to the report slamming USA Cycling for allowing men to race in “women’s categories all over the US.”
Piers Morgan wrote on X, calling it “so outrageous.”
“Why aren’t more women standing up against this assault on their rights?” the TV host asked.

Legendary tennis player Martina Navratilova replied to Morgan, writing, “Women are standing up but it’s mostly men who make the rules. And it is male bodies who take advantage of these ridiculous rules.”
Former college female swimmer Riley Gaines reacted to the report of two men winning the women’s competition and wrote that, “[USACycling] has 2 categories for men and none for women.”
“Any woman who concedes and doesn’t compete, I will personally pay them the prize money they’re missing out on,” she added. “Stop participating in the farce.”

The USA Cycling Rules Book says that identity fraud isn’t allowed. “No licensee may enter a race under an assumed name nor conspire to allow another rider to enter a race under an assumed name. This includes fraudulent use of another rider’s license, racing numbers, or timing,” it says.
However, it does allow biological men to race against biological women, including requiring the athlete to declare “that their gender identity is female.”
And at the non-elite competition level the rule read, “a member may self-select their gender.”
On October 7 at the Chicago CycloCross Cup (CCC), Johnson and Williamson took home the 1st and 2nd place in the Women’s categories, as previously reported. The bronze went to female Allison Zmuda in the single speed race.
