On February 17, 2021, conservative radio icon Rush Limbaugh passed away at the age of 70-years-old, after a year-long battle with lung cancer.

“We, the Limbaugh family, are deeply saddened to announce that our beloved Rush has died,” Limbaugh’s wife, Kathryn Adams Limbaugh, wrote in a post on her husband’s Facebook account. “Rush Hudson Limbaugh III will forever be the greatest of all time, a courageous, brilliant gentle giant and radio pioneer. Our entire family is so thankful to everyone who prayed and cared for Rush, especially the audience he adored. Rush’s love for our country, and for all of you, will live on eternally.”

Supporters shared messages of support, marking the one-year anniversary of Limbaugh’s death.

“I can’t believe it’s been a year,” Sean Hannity told Fox News Digital

“The great gift that I think Rush had is he always had a unique take on whatever the issue of the day was, that nobody else would ever think of. I can’t tell you how many times he would say something and I’d be like, ‘Why wouldn’t I think like that?’ He just had a gift that nobody else had,” Hannity said. “You want to talk about the greatest of all time, the goat? It’s definitely Rush.”

“Today, I am remembering the great Rush Limbaugh,” tweeted former White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany. “Rush inspired me at a young age, planting in my heart a passion for politics. We miss you, Rush!”

“Thank you, Rush Limbaugh. I wish you were still here,” tweeted Glenn Beck.

Rush Limbaugh was one of the most influential conservatives that has ever lived. He single handedly revived AM radio and changed the media landscape as we know it. We miss you Rush, rest in peace,” Steven Crowder said.

“Hard to believe it’s been one year without Rush Limbaugh. The conservative movement was forever changed by his voice – and will never be the same without it,” former GOP Senator Kelly Loeffler from Georgia, wrote. “We miss you, Rush!”

“One year ago today we lost the BEST broadcaster in American history. Rush Limbaugh’s legacy will NEVER die. Rest In Peace Rush, America is GREATER place because of you,” tweeted Texas Republican Congressman Ronny Jackson.

Today we remember the Great Rush Limbaugh, he was a patriot with ‘talent on loan from God.’ His legacy will never be forgotten,” Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL) said.
