A hot air balloon accident in Brazil has claimed the lives of at least eight people.
Twenty-one people boarded the balloon on Saturday morning in the city of Praia Grande, according to the governor of Santa Catarina, Jorginho Mello.
&#8220;21 people on board &#8211; 8 fatalities, 13 survivors,&#8221; Mello posted to X on Saturday. &#8220;Our teams continue to provide all necessary support to families and victims.&#8221;
&#8220;We are all shocked by the accident,&#8221; the governor said. &#8220;We continue to monitor the situation.&#8221;
Praia Grande is in southern Santa Catarina, which is a popular tourist destination, the BBC <a href="https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c17w04wxwpxo">noted</a>.
Video of the tragic accident was posted by an aviation news account, showing a fiery crash to the ground.
It&#8217;s unclear what caused the accident.

Left-wing activists on Friday allegedly tipped off an illegal alien, who&#8217;s a convicted child rapist, helping him escape from landing in U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) custody.
&#8220;This morning ICE &amp; [FBI Denver] were attempting to arrest Jose Reyes Leon-Deras, a criminal alien from El Salvador who is convicted of and wanted for child rape in Italy,&#8221; ICE&#8217;s Denver field office posted to X. &#8220;During our surveillance of Leon, members of Colorado Rapid Response arrived on scene and alerted him to law enforcement&#8217;s presence which allowed him to escape arrest.&#8221;
Colorado Rapid Response is a far-Left anti-ICE <a href="https://www.coloradorapidresponsenetwork.com">organization</a> that&#8217;s been responding to immigration raids. The group&#8217;s website says the organization is &#8220;committed to responding to raids, deportation, and any Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE) activity happening across the state in our communities.&#8221;
The group has a hotline asking for tips from people who &#8220;witness ICE activity or if you want to document an experience with ICE.&#8221;
Documentation of ICE activity, the Colorado Rapid Response says, &#8220;monitors police/I.C.E. collaboration detects patterns that can guide our legislative efforts, and builds a robust statewide network of people resisting deportations in their communities.&#8221;
ICE Denver condemned the group and others like it, writing, &#8220;Groups like this interfere with ICE’s ability to keep communities safe. If you know his whereabouts, do not approach, if seen, instead report all info to ICE at 1-866-347-2423.&#8221;

Left-Wing Activists Help Illegal Child Rapist Escape From ICE

B-2 stealth bombers reportedly appear to be on the move to a U.S. Air Force base in Guam, days after President Donald Trump said he&#8217;ll decide if the U.S. Military will strike Iran’s nuclear sites within a matter of two weeks.
A <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/world/b-2-stealth-bombers-appear-move-hours-before-trump-expected-white-house">report</a> from Fox News on Saturday morning said six bombers took off from Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri, and appear to be headed to Guam, per flight tracking data and voice communications with air traffic control.
Based on fueling patterns, the bombers could be loaded with bunker-buster bombs, which would be critical in attacking Fordow, Iran&#8217;s nuclear site, the report noted.
On Thursday, Trump relayed a message on the Middle East conflict through White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, saying that he would decide whether to strike Iran “within the next two weeks.”
The following day, Iran said it has rejected “several” calls for negotiations from the United States. “Americans want to negotiate and have sent messages several times, but we clearly said that as long as this aggression doesn’t stop, there’s no place for talk of dialogue,” Iran Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said in an address on state television, the New York Post <a href="https://nypost.com/2025/06/20/world-news/iran-rejects-us-talks-after-trump-gives-two-week-deadline-to-allow-for-negotiations/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a>.
The bombers&#8217; movement could be a tactic from the U.S. to add pressure on the Iranian regime to come to the table for negotiations.

Trump has backed Israel’s airstrikes on Iran that have taken out some of the radical Islamic regime’s nuclear facilities and military leaders, while urging the Ayatollah to come to the negotiating table.
The president has not ruled out direct U.S. military action against Iran, and even <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/he-is-an-easy-target-trump-says-he-knows-exactly-where-the-ayatollah-is-hiding" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> that the United States knows “exactly where the so-called ‘Supreme Leader’ is hiding.”

B-2 Stealth Bombers Reportedly On The Move To U.S. Base In Guam As Trump Mulls Iran Strike

The American Medical Association (AMA), the largest medical association in the United States, is coming out against the Supreme Courts ruling in United States v. Skrmetti, arguing that irreversible and damaging transgender procedures for minors are necessary treatments.
“The American Medical Association is disappointed in today’s decision that opens the door to further intrusion into patient care and harmful government interference into the practice of medicine,&#8221; AMA President Dr. Bobby Mukkamala <a href="https://www.ama-assn.org/press-center/ama-press-releases/ama-statement-united-states-v-skrmetti">said</a> in a statement after the ruling came down.
The court <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/supreme-court-upholds-tennessees-ban-on-transgender-drugs-for-children">ruled</a> on Wednesday that Tennessee&#8217;s ban on controversial transgender &#8220;care&#8221; for minors is constitutional, noting the law doesn&#8217;t violate the 14th Amendment’s Equal Protection Clause.
Mukkamala became president of the AMA earlier this month, and is continuing the organization&#8217;s strong support for transgender drugs and procedures on minors.

“All patients deserve access to high-quality, evidence-based medical care. Decisions about medical treatment must be made through a shared decision-making process between the patient and their physician, based on individual patient needs and in accordance with medical evidence and the standards of good medical practice,&#8221; Mukkamala claimed.
&#8220;The AMA opposes efforts by the government to insert itself into the patient-physician relationship and interfere in clinical decision-making with no regard for the clinical standards of care,&#8221; he added.
The AMA — which is the largest medical association in the United States and has significant influence in shaping policy and common medical practices — has been an advocate for transgender procedures on minors for years.
For example, the AMA &#8220;strongly&#8221; supported Dr. Rachel Levine&#8217;s nomination as Assistant Secretary for Health at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services during the Biden era. Notably, Levine is a proponent of all types of so-called gender-affirming care procedures and drugs for minors.
&#8220;If confirmed, she would be the highest-ranking transgender official in the U.S. government—a strong, inclusive message to America’s LGBTQ community,&#8221; the AMA <a href="https://www.ama-assn.org/press-center/ama-press-releases/ama-nomination-rachel-levine-md-hhs-assistant-secretary">said</a> at the time of Levine, who is male.
Additionally, the AMA <a href="https://www.endocrine.org/news-and-advocacy/news-room/2023/ama-gender-affirming-care">passed</a> a resolution in 2023 that committed to &#8220;opposing any criminal and legal penalties against patients seeking gender-affirming care, family members or guardians who support them in seeking medical care, and health care facilities and clinicians who provide gender-affirming care.&#8221;
The AMA also vowed to &#8220;work at the federal and state level with legislators and regulators to oppose such policies and collaborate with other organizations to educate the Federation of State Medical Boards about the importance of gender-affirming care.&#8221;

America’s Largest Medical Association Sides With Child Mutilation After SCOTUS Ruling

Global coffeehouse chain Starbucks will be making changes to its menu to more align with the &#8220;Make America Healthy Again&#8221; agenda, according to the company&#8217;s CEO, Brian Niccol. 
Human Services (HHS) Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said in April he&#8217;s phasing out petroleum-based dyes and working with major food companies to voluntarily implement further MAHA changes.
Niccol met with RFK on Tuesday, according to a post from the secretary, and vowed to make the company&#8217;s menu healthier.
&#8220;Yesterday, I met with [Starbucks] CEO Brian Niccol, who shared the company’s plans to further MAHA its menu,&#8221; Kennedy posted to X on Wednesday.
&#8220;I was pleased to learn that Starbucks&#8217; food and beverages already avoid artificial dyes, artificial flavors, high fructose corn syrup, artificial sweeteners, and other additives,&#8221; he added.
Some Starbucks drinks, however, are known to have incredibly <a href="https://www.delish.com/food-news/a62639189/most-unhealthy-coffee-drinks/">large amounts of sugar</a> in them. A grande white chocolate mocha frappuccino, for example, contains <a href="https://www.starbucks.com/menu/product/420/hot/nutrition">46 grams of sugar</a>, while it&#8217;s <a href="https://www.heart.org/en/healthy-living/healthy-eating/eat-smart/sugar/how-much-sugar-is-too-much">recommended</a> that individuals consume no more than 25-36 grams of sugar per day, depending on one&#8217;s sex.
Kennedy did not elaborate further on the coming changes.

In addition to this vow from Starbucks, cereal company General Mills said this week it will remove artificial dyes from its products within the next two years. Specifically, artificial colors will be removed from all U.S. cereals and all K-12 school foods by the summer of 2026, Fox Business <a href="https://www.foxbusiness.com/lifestyle/general-mills-latest-us-food-giant-pulling-artificial-dyes-from-products">noted</a>. And by the end of 2027, General Mills plans to be rid of all synthetic colors from its full U.S. retail portfolio.
Moreover, earlier this week, food giant Kraft Heinz announced it will similarly <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/another-maha-win-kraft-heinz-to-nix-all-artificial-dyes-in-two-years?author=Amanda+Prestigiacomo&amp;category=News&amp;elementPosition=2&amp;row=0&amp;rowType=Vertical+List&amp;title=Another+MAHA+Win%3A+Kraft+Heinz+To+Nix+All+Artificial+Dyes+In+Two+Years">remove all artificial dyes</a> from its foods and beverages by the end of 2027, following pressure from Kennedy and his department.
Kraft Heinz said effectively immediately, no new products will contain such dyes, and all products for U.S. consumers will be synthetic dye-free in a couple years.

Starbucks Vows ‘MAHA’ Changes To Menu

A bill stripping free healthcare for illegal immigrants in Minnesota was signed into law this week, days after Minnesota House Democrat leader Melissa Hortman was assassinated in what law enforcement says was an act of <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/read-the-hit-list-found-in-minnesota-gunmans-vehicle?author=Amanda+Prestigiacomo&amp;category=News&amp;elementPosition=4&amp;row=0&amp;rowType=Vertical+List&amp;title=Read+The+‘Hit+List’+Found+In+Minnesota+Gunman’s+Vehicle">political violence</a>.
Hortman was the lone House Democrat to vote for the bill. She gave a tearful explanation to reporters following the vote, Sahan Journal reported. “I’ll continue to have health insurance, so I’m fine,” she <a href="https://sahanjournal.com/news-partners/minnesota-legislature-special-session-2025-budget/?utm_source=chatgpt.com">said</a>. “What I worry about is the people who will lose their health insurance. I know that people will be hurt by that vote.”
A number of bills were passed concerning the state&#8217;s budget, all of which were bipartisan. “Minnesotans expect that when Democrats and Republicans are elected to co-govern in the state Legislature that we would compromise and get things done and fund their state government,” Hortman <a href="https://sahanjournal.com/news-partners/minnesota-legislature-special-session-2025-budget/?utm_source=chatgpt.com">commented</a>. “And that’s exactly what we did.”

Hortman and her husband were shot to death in their homes on Saturday morning. The suspect, Vance Boelter, allegedly impersonated a police officer to gain access to Hortman. He is also accused of shooting and wounding Democrat state Sen. John Hoffman and his wife, Yvette.
