As reported by The Daily Wire on Tuesday, President Donald Trump donated his entire quarterly salary to help combat the coronavirus, directing the $100,000 to the the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
Not everyone was pleased with the news of Trump donating his salary to help fight the virus; on the contrary, some liberals were enraged, even finding it appropriate to compare the POTUS to Hitler.

Vox’s Aaron Rupar complained that Trump’s donation was a “drop in the bucket.”
“REMINDER: Trump’s salary is a drop in the bucket compared to the money businesses, politicians, and foreign governments are funneling into properties he still owns and profits from while in office,” he wrote.

Left-wing actress and singer Kelly Mantle falsely contended that Trump did not actually donate the money.
“Trump’s [press secretary] is trying to convince us that [Donald Trump] is donating his salary to fight Coronavirus. But the check is dated 01/29/20?”
“They’re so stupid,” she added.
(The check was for the fourth-quarter of 2019, which ended on December 31.)

Before Trump was elected to the White House, he vowed to donate his presidential salary, and has kept his word by donating to various causes.
For example, as noted by The Associated Press in November, the president donated his third-quarter salary to the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Health “to continue the ongoing fight against the opioid crisis.” And Trump’s second-quarter salary was donated to the surgeon general’s office.
Over the weekend, President Trump announced that the U.S. will ban travel to Iran and parts of South Korea and Italy to help contain the coronavirus.
“Unfortunately, one person passed away overnight. She was a wonderful woman, a medically high-risk patient in her late 50s,” Trump told reporters in the White House briefing room, The Daily Wire reported Saturday. “Additional cases in the United States are likely but healthy individuals should be able to fully recover. If you’re healthy, you will probably go through a process and you’ll be fine.”
“There is no reason to panic at all,” the president said. “Our country is prepared for any circumstance.”
“Healthy individuals should be able to fully recover, and we think that will be a statement that we can make with great surety now that we’ve gotten familiar with this problem,” Trump added. “They should be able to recover should they contract the virus. So healthy people, if you’re healthy, you will probably go through a process and you’ll be fine.”
