<p>Twice-failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton on Wednesday promoted the nickname &#8220;Tampon Tim&#8221; for Gov. Tim Walz (D-MN), Kamala Harris&#8217; 2024 VP pick.</p>
<p>Though the nickname was used by some on the Right to mock Walz&#8217;s radical transgender policy in his state, namely the governor mandating tampon access in little boys&#8217; public school bathrooms, Clinton approved of the label.</p>
<p>&#8220;How nice of the Trump camp to help publicize Gov. Tim Walz&#8217;s compassionate and common-sense policy of providing free menstrual products to students in Minnesota public schools!&#8221; she posted on X. &#8220;Let&#8217;s do this everywhere.&#8221;</p>

<p>Clinton has notably turned off X users&#8217; ability to reply to the post unless Clinton follows their account. The limitations were turned on after folks poked fun at the former First Lady for promoting the nickname.</p>
<p>Last year, Walz signed legislation requiring boys’ bathrooms in public schools to stock free tampons or pads beginning in January 2024, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/trans-six-year-olds-custody-battles-and-tampons-for-boys-tim-walzs-record-on-kids-and-gender-ideology" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Daily Wire</a> reported.</p>
<p>“The products must be available to all menstruating students in restrooms regularly used by students in grades 4 to 12 according to a plan developed by the school district,” the bill <a href="https://www.revisor.mn.gov/bills/text.php?number=HF2497&amp;type=bill&amp;version=5&amp;session=ls93&amp;session_year=2023&amp;session_number=0" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reads</a>.</p>
<p>The governor also <a href="https://mn.gov/governor/newsroom/press-releases/?id=1055-575115#:~:text=Governor%20Tim%20Walz%20today%20signed,affirming%20health%20care%20in%20Minnesota." target="_blank" rel="noopener">signed</a> legislation in April 2023 that established Minnesota as a haven for children who want puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, or transgender surgeries.</p>

<p>Notably, one of the numerous laws signed by Walz allows the state to seize custody of a child whose parents refuse to provide “gender affirming care.”</p>
