It&#8217;s insane,&#8221; Glaser said during her opening monologue. &#8220;There are so many A-listers, and by A-list, I do mean a list that has been heavily redacted. And the Golden Globe for Best Editing goes to the Justice Department. Yes. Congratulations.&#8221;</span></p>
<p>The host was seemingly referencing the redacted 30,000 documents related to convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein released by the Justice Department just days before Christmas.</p>
<p>&#8220;And the award for most editing goes to CBS News,&#8221; the comedian added as the audience laughed and applauded. &#8220;Yes, CBS News, America&#8217;s newest place to see BS news. We needed another.&#8221;</p>
<p>This dig likely referenced CBS News, under the new leadership of Bari Weiss, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/cbs-news-pulls-60-minutes-segment-on-notorious-el-salvador-prison-needed-additional-reporting">yanking a “60 Minutes” segment</a> on the Salvadoran prison where the Trump administration has sent hundreds of illegal immigrants. Critics <a href="https://thehill.com/homenews/media/5659963-bari-weiss-cbs-60-minutes-segment/">said</a> the move &#8220;reeks of political pressure.&#8221;</p>

Weiss was offered the job by David Ellison, the founder of Skydance and Paramount&#8217;s chairman, following a merger.</span></p>

Or we put too much weight in the analysis of academics or elites, and not enough on you,” the anchor said in part. “And I know this because, at certain points, I have been you. I have felt this way, too. I have felt like what I was seeing and hearing on the news didn’t reflect what I was seeing and hearing in my own life — and that the most urgent questions simply weren’t being asked.”</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“So here’s my promise to you,” Dokoupil continued. “You come first. Not advertisers, not politicians, not corporate interests. And yes, that does include the corporate owners of CBS. I report for you — which means I tell you what I know, when I know it, and how I know it.
