TV host Maria Menounos revealed that she’s been dealing with a secret health battle after being diagnosed with stage two pancreatic cancer and said “God granted” her a “miracle.”

The 44-year-old, who has hosted shows like “Extra” and “E! News,” said life was going great as she and her husband Keven Undergaro were finally going to be parents via a surrogate after a decade-long struggle with fertility. In 2017, Menounos was diagnosed with a benign brain tumor. Then in 2022, she suffered from leg cramps and was diagnosed with type one diabetes, People magazine reported.

“I was feeling so good, and then I got slapped in the face with a new diagnosis,” Menounos said of the pain she experienced last June. “I’d scream out loud, I was inconsolable.”

Menounos said after being diagnosed and taking insulin, she “was crushing it” by October.

“I felt so good. What else could go wrong?” But a month later, she said “excruciating abdominal pain coupled with diarrhea” put her back in the hospital.

“They said, ‘Everything’s fine,'” she added. “But I kept having pains. On a flight several weeks later, the pain was so bad it felt like someone was tearing my insides out.”

She underwent more thorough testing, which revealed she had a tumor on her pancreas.

“I’m like, ‘How in the freaking world can I have a brain tumor and pancreatic cancer?'” the TV host said. “All I could think was that I have a baby coming.”

In February, she underwent surgery to have the tumor removed and called the recovery “super painful,” adding, “I couldn’t move or lift myself up.”

“Keven slept in the hospital every night,” Menounos added. “And my dad was the best caretaker.”

She said she’d been given an optimistic diagnosis and did not need chemotherapy or additional treatment, just annual scans over the next few years.

“I’m so grateful and so lucky,” Menounos explained weeks away from expecting her first child. “God granted me a miracle. I’m going to appreciate having her in my life so much more than I would have before this journey.”
