Ford Motors is offering major discounts over the next couple of months as President Donald Trump imposes a slew of tariffs on imports to rectify what he views as a decades-long trade imbalance between the United States and other countries.

The auto company is launching a new campaign with the tagline “From America, For America,” and offering customers employee pricing until June 2, which Ford says equates to thousands of dollars in savings.

“For the next couple of months, we’re gonna offer our customers the same deal that our employees get,” Ford Chief Policy Officer Steve Croley told Fox News. “That’s worth thousands of dollars. You come into our store, you get employee pricing.”

Croley said the move is intended as a “bit of a time-out” as they hear “uncertainty from customers” over new tariffs. “We want them to be assured that Ford, the most American auto company, is gonna do right by them, as are our dealers.”

“We make the most cars here, we employ the most, we export the most,” he continued. “We here at Ford — we’re in a good position to address customers’ concern, and give them a really great deal on a great vehicle.”

As noted by Croley, 80% of Ford’s U.S.-sold vehicles are built here in the U.S., shielding the company from some of the new tariffs.

Reuters reports that the deal applies to most of Ford’s vehicles, including the Mustang Mach-E and Maverick. However, Super Duty trucks and some other vehicles are exempt.

As reported by The Daily Wire, Trump marked April 2, “Liberation Day,” and said foreign nations will now be charged roughly half of what they impose with tariffs, including China, India, and the European Union.

“My fellow Americans, this is Liberation Day,” Trump said in the Rose Garden. “April 2, 2025 will forever be remembered as the day American industry was reborn, the day America’s destiny was reclaimed, and the day that we began to make America wealthy again.”
