On Sunday, Obama Attorney General Loretta Lynch announced that the FBI would not be releasing the full transcript of the 911 phone call from the Orlando jihadist. That’s because it would offend people. Yes, really. “Well,” said Orwellian caricature Lynch, “what we’re not going to do is further proclaim this individual’s pledges of allegiance to terrorist groups and further his propaganda.”
True to her word, Lynch and the FBI have now released a partial transcript. Here it is, beginning at 2:35 a.m.:
Orlando Police Dispatcher (OD)
OD: Emergency 911, this is being recorded.
OM: In the name of God the Merciful, the beneficial [in Arabic]
OM: Praise be to God, and prayers as well as peace be upon the prophet of God [in Arabic]. I let you know, I’m in Orlando and I did the shootings.
OD: What’s your name?
OM: My name is I pledge of allegiance to [omitted].
OD: Ok, What’s your name?
OM: I pledge allegiance to [omitted] may God protect him [in Arabic], on behalf of [omitted].
OD: Alright, where are you at?
OM: In Orlando.
OD: Where in Orlando?
[End of call.]
There are two idiocies worth noting here. First, everyone on the planet knows that [Omitted] = ISIS. The only reasons to cut that out are to provide political cover for the FBI, which should have done a better job keeping track of the Orlando jihadist, and to provide political cover to the left’s push for gun control instead of the fighting radical Islam.
Second, the FBI releases a translated transcript here – and translated “Allah” as “God.” This, too, has a dual purpose: to pretend that “Allah” and the Judeo-Christian God are identical (they aren’t) and to link radical Islam with Christianity and Judaism. Is there any doubt whatsoever that if this shooter had used the terms “NRA” and “Jesus” instead of “ISIS” and “Allah,” we’d get the full transcript? Any doubt at all?
Lynch’s suggestion that she must censor facts in order to prevent propaganda demonstrates the nasty, propagandist nature of the Obama administration. And if reality won’t conform to their perceptions of it, reality must be silenced.
UPDATE: This story reminded me of the fact that back in April, the official White House video of French President Francois Hollande censored his mention of “Islamist terrorism” in talking about jihadism in his country. So this is now a pattern. Here’s the paragraph the White House stopped translating:
But we’re also well aware that the roots of terrorism, Islamist terrorism, is in Syria and in Iraq. We therefore have to act both in Syria and in Iraq, and this is what we’re doing within the framework of the coalition.
The White House then posted a correction and claimed a technical error:
UPDATE II: The Obama administration has now released the full transcript, after the FBI said it couldn’t do so because of risk of terrorism and Loretta Lynch said they couldn’t do so because they didn’t want to offend the survivors. Here it is — and surprise! — the terrorist wasn’t pledging allegiance to the Joos.
