<p>On Tuesday, Facebook announced that it has found a coordinated political influence campaign that seems directed at the November elections, with dozens of inauthentic accounts and pages.</p>
<p>The eight Facebook pages, 17 Facebook profiles, and seven Instagram accounts were created between March 2017 and May 2018, according to <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2018/07/31/us/politics/facebook-political-campaign-midterms.html">The New York Times.</a> Facebook told legislators on Capitol Hill that it could not tie the fake accounts to Russia, but they believe Russia was likely involved.</p>
