<p>A high school English teacher in Maine has allegedly called for the Secret Service and U.S. military to assassinate President Donald Trump, his supporters, and top Trump advisors.</p>
<p>JoAnna St. Germain, who teaches at Waterville Senior High School, appears to have made the <span style="box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">concerning remarks on her Facebook page, prompting <a href="https://www.pressherald.com/2025/04/30/social-media-post-about-trump-draws-reaction-from-waterville-police-school-superintendent/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">investigations</a> by police and the school district where</span> she is employed.</p>

<p dir="auto">&#8220;The Secret Service has the perfect opportunity, if they choose to step up and take it. You are the ones with power. Coordinate,&#8221; she reportedly wrote in a post published Tuesday. &#8220;Take out every single person who supports Trump’s illegal, immoral, unconstitutional acts. Look at the sycophants and give them what they’re asking for.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;I’m not talking about assassinating a president,&#8221; St. Germain appeared to rationalize. &#8220;A president is a person duly elected by the American people. Tr*mp has shamelessly bragged openly about stealing the election. He is making plans to give himself a third term.&#8221;</p>
<p dir="auto">&#8220;Secret Service, you are Americans. My beloved military, you are Americans. We, the people, are counting on you,&#8221; the post continued. &#8220;If I had the skill set required, I would take them out myself.&#8221;</p>

<p dir="auto">After immense backlash, St. Germain doubled down on her alleged calls for assassination, but narrowed down the number of Trump supporters she wants murdered to Trump&#8217;s top advisors.</p>
<p>&#8220;I am so sorry you took that post to mean that all Republicans should die,&#8221; she reportedly posted Wednesday. &#8220;I have no beef with Republicans. I have no beef with MAGA. I meant that those in the room with Trump, who are permitting and approving his egregious actions, need to be held accountable.&#8221;</p>

<p>The teacher further said that she&#8217;s aware she might lose her job, but is &#8220;not backtracking a single thing.&#8221;</p>

F*** a country that moves to weaken the education system in order to produce weak-minded people who will follow orders,&#8221; she said. &#8220;F*** a country that sends innocent women and men to die thinking they’re defending democracy when they’re really defending the rights of corporations to f*** over the very people lining their pockets.&#8221;</p>
<p dir="auto">&#8220;If you’re mad at this post, knowing that I just threw away a decade of experience teaching the truth, fully knowing that my superintendent will have to fire me?
