Lori Vallow Daybell’s older sister testified on Tuesday about conversations the siblings had regarding Vallow Daybell’s missing children.

Vallow Daybell is on trial for allegedly murdering her children and her fifth husband’s first wife.

Summer Cox Shiflet, the older sister, testified that she had spoken to her sister in February 2020, months after her daughter Tylee and adopted son J.J. were reported missing.

“I don’t remember the exact wording, but she basically told me she knew where they were and they were safe,” Shiflet testified, according to East Idaho News.

A phone call between the two sisters was also played for the jury.

“You went off to Hawaii and were dancing on the beach as the kids were in the ground,” Shiflet yells at her sister during the call. “You had to know they were there! I don’t understand! They were just little kids! I don’t understand!”

“Lori if you let this happen to them and put them in the ground like a piece of trash, I don’t know you…” Shiflet also said on the call, according to the outlet. “We would have taken them!”

Lori, in the call, also asked Shiflet if her sister thought she was in pain.

“No I don’t,” Shiflet responded. “You were dancing on the beach having a great time! You got wedding pictures while your kids are in the ground?”

The two then discussed Vallow Daybell’s fifth and current husband, Chad Daybell, who faces trial later this year for allegedly murdering Vallow Daybell’s children and his former wife, Tammy.

“I am telling you, because I love you with all my heart, please consider that Chad has lied and been [deceitful] and you have been deceived and this is not what you think it is,” Shiflet said on the call. “There is nothing okay about killing children. Nothing.”

“And even if you didn’t kill them and Alex didn’t kill them and Chad didn’t kill them, you threw them away like garbage! In a pet cemetery,” she added.

Alex is Vallow Daybell’s brother, who reportedly shot her former husband, Charles Vallow, and claimed self-defense. Alex was never charged in that case and later died of a blood clot.

This is the third major phone call played for jurors determining Vallow Daybell’s fate. Last week, jurors heard a phone call between Vallow Daybell and her surviving son, Colby Ryan, whom she had in a previous marriage.

The call, which was recorded in 2020, involved accusations from Colby that his mother killed his siblings.

“You murdered my siblings!” Colby said, according to Insider. “I thought I could trust you, I thought that you were a completely different person.”

“I’m sorry you feel that way,” Vallow Daybell replied.

The week prior, a phone call between Vallow Daybell and Chad Daybell was played for the jury.

The call occurred on the day police arrived at Chad’s property to search for the remains of Vallow Daybell’s daughter and adopted son. As they searched, the couple spoke on the phone, People Magazine reported, and the call was recorded and played for the jury.

“They are searching the property,” Chad told Lori over the phone that day. “There was a search warrant.”

Later in the phone call, Lori asked if investigators were searching inside Chad’s house.

“No, they are out on the property,” Chad replied.

“Are they seizing stuff again?’ Lori then asked.

“They are searching… We’ll see what transpires,” Chad responded.

Lori then asked if she could do anything for him, but Chad said he was “feeling pretty calm” and told Lori he loved her.
