Authorities extinguished a small fire at the Hoover Dam after an explosion reportedly took place Tuesday morning, although the cause of the incident is unclear.

A Twitter user by the name of Kristy Hairston tweeted a video taken moments after the explosion.

“touring the #hooverdam and heard an explosion #fire,” @KristyNashville tweeted.

Sirens can be heard blaring in another video showing a different angle of the fire.

Officials from the Boulder City Fire Department responded to the scene and put out the blaze.

“Boulder City Fire Department is en route to an emergency call at Hoover Dam. No further information is available at this time,” Boulder City’s Twitter account announced.

Local media channel 8 News Now reported that the incident possibly involved one of the dam’s turbine houses.
